A very nice setting , the things that would make it better would be staff dressed in uniform more direction on how to get to the rooms that were used a concierge at the front of the house to greet you. The rooms were very nice although they were lacking on the finish the paint work needed touching up also the extra touch like a trouser press. A shoe cleaning machine would of added that extra touch. Absolutely beautiful setting for most functions and staff extremely helpful only downsides are the beds are a little on the small side so my legs tended to hang off the bed all night and the hot water either didn't work or took over 10mins of constant running to have a warm shower.

A friends wedding reception brought us here, entrance not well sign posted or the road well lit. Could also do with some sort of entrance sign as in the dark we wandered around the outside for some while before finding by accident the way in. Lovely wedding venue in a beautiful setting. Absolutely stunning exteriors and beautiful interiors with atmosphere of historic grandeur. I photographed a wedding there recently and really enjoyed it. Great facilities, professional and attentive staff (especially our wedding coordinator!) and delicious food. Lovely vibe all around! Would recommend it to anyone looking to get married in the area.
