When I began my initial search for a contractor, Shane returned my call the same day and came out to give me a bid. After reading other reviews, I chose to have Intense Remodel frame in a screened porch and convert a golf cart garage to add square footage to my house. Shane always returned my texts and calls, and kept me apprised of the schedule. All of the tradesman were pleasant, respectful, hardworking and did a wonderful job. We originally planned a simple remodel of our kitchen, then decided a major remodel was the way to go (raising/vaulting ceilings, tearing diwn walls). We chose Intense Remodel based not only on price, but also because Shane C****** quickly returned phone calls! (something other contractors did not do). Every major remodel has unexpected problems that crop up, and ours was no exception. Shane addressed these issues immediately, keeping the project on schedule and within budget. Having received estimates from several contractors, I went with Shane and Intense Remodel because he was tuned into my very specific needs which included timing, methodology and cost control. The work was done exactly as spec'd and the cost was dead on. The quality of the work is outstanding and one cannot tell the addition was added 20 years after the house was built. One of my concerns when working with contractors is that my project is pretty small compared to other work. Just a one room addition. Some of the contractors I interviewed were involved in projects costing 10 times my little room addition. Shane, however, treated my project with such a level of importance that I never felt like I was on the back-burner. Each time I had a question, he responded within a day, and not just verbally, but had people come out to talk to me. He kept me up to date and completely informed all the way through the process. The best compliment I can give is that I intend to use Intense Remodel for future projects and I am very comfortable referring my friends to him.
