Janis was very comprehensive in working out how to approach the hypnosis for smoking cessation. It has only been one day since my two sessions and I do feel a "difference" from previous times I tried to quit on my own. The full success has not been realized yet, but I purchased the additional refresher session if I should need it. I feel much more confident after having done this. I had such a wonderful experience working with Janis. Being new to hypnotherapy, I had a lot of reservations and nervousness, but was generally open to the experience. I’m so glad to have found Janis. The initial interview was extremely comfortable. Her energy was welcoming, calming, non-judgmental and curious. The hypnotherapy session was extremely personalized and specific to my needs and ideas for a better me. I honestly did not know what to expect and felt scared to enter a vulnerable state with a stranger, however Janis was able to put me into an instant state of relaxation and calm. I listen to my recording every night and have found it extremely helpful for smoking cessation with the use of other tools (nicotine gum, etc) Janis was clear about the results being dependent on my own commitment to releasing the habit, which I found trustworthy and honest of her. What do you love most about your job?
I love to see immediate transformation and outstanding results in my clients. Their amazement and delight is truly gratifying. As their burdens are lifted and they are filled with confidence their spirits soar and I feel honored and privileged to have been a part of their return to well-being or even to their Natural State of Bliss.
What inspired you to start your own business?
It all started on a bright sunny day in May, during a mother daughter talk with my youngest daughter. Having spent several years enduring that rough life stage where you are at one time dissatisfied with and yet grateful for full time employment; having been side railed somehow from my childhood passion of psychology and diligently working my way back to becoming a mental health professional, I was pursuing my Masters Degree and not really sure where the future would lead me. Daughter was considering what it would be like to be a Mom, wanting very much to have children but afraid of the whole labor and delivery process. She asked me what it was like for me. And then... tell you more during our first session.
