Everything about Hula Hula is a tropical treatment. From the moment you walk in, there's an outdoor patio where you can take your drink outside. Upon entering- to the left is bathrooms, photo booths and booth seating. Smack dab in the middle they have what they call a velvet room where they show performers on the live screen above you. With this area it's lifted to make it feel private and secluded. Now to the right, is the full bar which is decorated with real puffer fish! The karaoke booth, seating and the stage is also in this region. They do karaoke every single night at 9pm. On weekends, expect to get here early to get in the rotation.  Regarding the karaoke, hands down the best in Seattle- scratch that Washington! When you walk in you will quickly notice the dimly lit atmosphere and beautiful flowers hanging from the tiki decor and ceiling. This beach like setting features delicious classic and original tiki drinks that are served in a variety of ceramic glassware and awsome garnishes. The food menu is packed full of delicious sliders, wings and healthy options such as chick pea salad. Karaoke lights up the atmosphere at 9 and you watch the bar transform as a light fog rolls through the bar and lights up the place with bright colors and fun songs to sing along to. Stopped by this wonderful karaoke bar last weekend, and it was so much fun! The karaoke was off the hook, people seem to be having a lot of fun. The bartenders were great and quick, the drinks were so good (check out their cocktail menu). I ended up singing a few songs "I touch myself", "Fat bottomed girls", and the classic Rickroll.  Going forward, this is going to be my favorite and go-to hangout spot - I spoke with the bartender there for a bit, nice guy, recommended a few drinks that turned out pretty well. This is HANDS DOWN the best karaoke bar in Seattle, 365 days per week at 9 pm. Professional Sound Engineers and musicians running the sound boards as well as a variety of stage lighting, fog machine, bubbles, foam, lasers, and other effects. Plus, they play soft core porn during musical breaks sometimes. This is a much more social version of karaoke than some places with private rooms, lots of regulars and other random customers who can sing like hell, but people sing along and applaud no matter your vocal skill, especially if you've just got stage presence.It can get get busy on the weekends, show up early if you want to sing more than once, sign up for karaoke starts at 830, Karaoke starts at 9.Kitchen is open till midnight, I'm pescatarian so I can't speak to most of the menu, but the fish tacos and sliders are good. Dope little tiki spot with amazing drinks and a fun, lively atmosphere in the middle of Capitol Hill. Primarily younger crowd who were super into singing and dancing along with the karaoke. This place was awesome! Went here for karaoke for my sister's dirty 30. We had a large group (about 25) so I called a week or so ahead to reserve tables. When we got there Veronica showed us to the front of the bar where they had our tables in big open sections so we could sit or dance or mingle about. She was nice and helpful. The place was packed all night which was so fun and all the servers and bar tenders were kind, quick, and efficient and made one hell of drink. Would 100% return for a night out or another event! I came here for a birthday celebration and it was such a festive bar! She loves karaoke and this place is perfect for it. There's a little stage and the DJ is amazing at singing and super fair . The whole place has a good tiki vibe and the drinks also has this theme throughout. The bar food is better than others. It does take a while for them to come out and it could definitely be warmer when then come out which results in a four star. I ordered the wings and they had really good taste. They were sweet and tangy, for that island taste, but not warm at all. I don't go to bars for food, but for the drinks. I've been here a few times and always have so much fun! Karaoke is one of my favorite things on the planet and this place does not disappoint. It's a well-oiled machine - everything is pretty organized and runs smoothly considering once it gets busy there's a pretty long wait for your song pick. The singers are all over the place, from people who sound like professionals to drunk tone-deaf people just there to have a good time (me) but it's a no judgment zone. This was a super awesome experience. They have the best Karaoke set up I've ever seen. Not only do they have disco balls, lasers, bubbles, and light shows but they even have an app you can download that you can sign up on and monitor the queue so that you don't have to fumble with papers, flip through books or anything like that. The server was very prompt and pleasant, the bartenders were friendly and security was very courteous. I really like the wide array of singers on stage, they ranged from a non-talented goofy guys trying their honest best, but still having fun and being entertaining to a woman who was American Idol worthy. First time here was for karaoke night with some buddies from work. Reasonably priced drinks that are well-mixed. Super friendly bartenders, too! The place draws influence from Hawaiian culture and is decorated to reflect just that (see photos). The karaoke night DJ was great! He really knew how to amp everybody up and encourage those who'd just sung. There's a photo booth that costs $5 for a single print of up to four photos. Extra prints will run you $5 extra per print. Amazing and friendly customer service, super fun karaoke, yummy drinks.m, and delicious food. What could be better?I ended up having too much fun and left my wallet there by mistake. Our lovely server tracked us down  on social media and let me know they had it and the manager let me come in an hour before opening the next day to pick it up! came for happy hour (4-6 daily) & it was great! $4/$5 off tiki drinks (HH menu & regular menu contradict each other...) which makes them totally worth it! Ordered the lightening bug lemonade and it was stellar. It was strong & glowing! Hubby got a zombie bowl, said it was strong and tasty. Got the Buddha belly after HH ended, equally good but I would definitely recommend coming for the HH cocktail prices. Atmosphere is cute, dimly lit, lots of tiki themed decorations. Service was strange, I'm almost positive the bartender was strung out on something. You know those restaurants where waiters/waitresses are intentionally rude to customers? But that's part of the restaurants theme? That kind of seemed like the deal here. She would loudly complain every time a customer ordered a drink. "you want WHAT?" Came here during HH, which is from 4pm-6pm daily. We ordered their 'kon tiki tots', which are tots sprinkled with furikake seasoning. These were so amazing. They were cooked perfectly crisp and the seasoning made the tots very flavorful. During HH, their cocktails are $4 off all tiki drinks, which make most drinks around $10. Awesome value (at happy hour).I'm not surprised by the seemingly lower rating, because it seems like a place that gets really rowdy. It was a rare snowy Seattle day, and we stumbled upon this place when our original dinner place was closed. They offered a unique, Hawaiian styled happy hour menu from 4-6pm.We ordered a few "tiki drinks" off the menu which were only $5 after the $5 off due to happy hour. The drinks were very tasty but I'm not sure how strong they were. Definitely wouldn't order the drinks at full price because you'll need 6-7 to feel it.The happy hour food menu was generous. We ordered the spam musubi and the spicy crab rangoons. Pretty good for just $5 each.Next time we'll definitely try the $5 wings and corndogs. I came to Seattle from Dec 29-Jan 3 and we came here on a Friday and on NYE. I am OBSESSED. It's a karaoke bar with the best staff and the best people. Everyone in this bar was loving, happy, accepting, excited and nice! We made friends with the people and the employees. I never wanted to leave. The drinks are amazing and a decent price! It's also in a great locations with other great bars all around it. On NYE our server was the number one Drag Queen of Seattle which was a lovely surprise. I 100% recommend coming here!! More...

Cute little dive tiki bar.  I came in the afternoon.  I think the atmosphere would have been better at night.  The best part of the visit was the bartender.  Wish I could remember his name.  Him and a couple regulars at the bar made the visit.  I got a Lei'd on the Hill not realizing it had beer in it.  I am not a big fan of beer cocktails.  They have a great happy hour 4-6 pm daily.  Worth a visit. A nice little tiki bar where you can sign up for karaoke. They have a large variety of songs that you can choose from. There is a little stage and if you choose a popular enough song there will be a small crowd right in front who will sing and dance with you. It's hilarious and such a great sight to see when the entire bar is singing along because everyone's just having a good time and embarrassing themselves one way or another. I ordered the classic Mai Tai ($11) which did not taste good. It was super sour and everyone at my table tried it and they all scrunched their faces as well. I had to power through to finish my drink and it was not pleasant. I'll make sure to try something else next time or get a well drink.A friend and I signed up to sing a song but there was such a long queue and we left before it was our turn. The stage and light show etc is super fun. The sound was great and we had a blast. The place where you have to sign up to sing is really crowded and poorly placed and a little tough too maneuver (you have to enter your info directly into a computer at waist height in a high traffic area)

Went to check out the New Neighbor on Capitol Hill. I think it was their 4th night in the new location. If you like karaoke, you'll love it. They did a good job on the decor. Flaming lava bowls seemed to be the popular go to. The crowd was very mixed. Tourists, regulars, young, older...There was probably about 40 plus people there. The only thing that was lacking, was the service. And we couldn't blame our server. She seemed to be working hard. But I think they may have been short staffed. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our drinks. We only had 1 round. Probably woulda stayed for another round if we had got them earlier. More...
