Hot Dog on a Run

Our beloved Boston Terrier Crumpet goes for hikes three times a week with Tara and her walkers. She has also boarded with Tara when we have had to go out of town. Tara and her team are extremely professional, incredibly accommodating and always send a visit photo which brings a smile to our faces. Particularly now that Covid is a factor and we have someone high risk in our household, it means so much to us that Crumpet can go on her hikes and socialise with us remaining completely confident that we can trust Tara and her team to take all steps necessary to keep us all safe. Tara has also really come through for us when we had to leave town last minute due to a family emergency and has even taken out dog to emergency on one occasion. We couldn't trust anyone more! I started using Hot Dog on a Run a few months ago and they've been great! My dog is VERY particular about new people walking him. He would hide under the bed when I made attempts to hire a dog walker in the past. But he was comfortable with the walkers from Hot Dog right off the bat! Tara and her walkers have been a godsend for my doggos. After moving from the West Side, I was really nervous about finding a new dog walker that I could trust. With one terminally ill pup and another one with separation anxiety, the extra love and attention provided to my fur babies has exceeded my expectations. <br><br>They're so accommodating with special requests, such as when it's too hot for my sick pupper, they'll play in the yard instead of walking their normal 30 minute walk. They've even gone so far as to clean up accidents in the house! I recently boarded my puppy with hotdog on a run, Tara and Jake. It was a wonderful experience for my nine-month-old puppy she came back her usual happy healthy self and I think she had a blast. The BEST service on the market. Hot Dog on the Run is the Four Seasons of pet boarding. Tara is so accommodating with every request; especially last minute ones. There have been a few times where I gave them 20 minutes notice to pick up my dog before leaving the city and they made it happen! My dog always comes back so happy. I spent a few months researching kennel free boarding for my pups and since it would be my first time ever leaving my pups in the care of someone unknown for the first time I was extremely nervous. Because lets get real, you feel as if no one will take care of your pets as well as you do. I have one very friendly 72 lb pittie and a 12 lb terrier mix who can be quite protective of his little "big" brother. I couldn't be any happier with the decision i made of booking Hot Dog On A Run for my pups boarding needs. I received picture updates and that was something i truly appreciate. I now know that the next time I need to leave my pups in boarding I will definitely use their services again! Perhaps will even try out their socialization walks for Mr. Sparky! I needed a dog walker last minute and unfortunately was only able to provide very short notice. I was beyond lucky when I heard back from Tara. She was fantastic and finding Hot Dog on a Run on yelp was really a life saver for me. Tara has been walking our dog for 5 months now. She has been the utmost professional in dealing with our requests and accommodating our schedule. She sends picture updates of my lil guy on his walk. She also has a group of dog walkers that treat my dog very well, even though he hates putting on his harness for walks. They will coax him out with treats. Tara and her team of ladies are absolutely wonderful!  We had been nervous to try someone new after having negative experiences with a few doggie daycare places, and then we found Hot Dog on a Run.  <br><br>The staff are responsive, friendly, and really know how to beat work with dogs.  We took our dog over there to meet the staff and she played with so many sweet dogs who were boarding there.<br><br>When she stays with them, she goes home with one of the walkers, Justine, and has a ball with her 3 dogs at her house.  They always send us pictures of our dog every day during our trips, which we just love.<br><br>When we lick her up, our dog is happy to see us but has obviously had an amazing time there, so we couldn't be happier.  We highly recommend this company if you love your dog and want them to have personal care in a home environment with indoor and outdoor space.  It's so unique and just the best. My man found this place for our two lil guys. <br>His dog is taken on group walks several times a week &amp; mine gets taken care of by their sitters when I travel. Every time the walker/sitter comes to pick up our dogs, they are so excited! We also receive photos once in a while, which is comforting to see when you're hundreds of miles away from your best friend. Our dogs LOVE going on walks with Hot Dog on a Run. When we started with them, we only had one dog, a very grumpy poodle-terrier mix who barks ferociously at anyone who walks even near our door. He is also very attached to us and fearful of strangers so the fist time they came to take him he barked and didn't want to go. Tara is a very caring person- though my Lilli didn't stay with her, there was a bit of a complicated situation where my otherwise responsible friend who was watching my dog for me had arranged for her to stay with Tara. He forgot to tell me that he changed her location and when I spoke to Tara she was really concerned. She even text messaged a few minutes later asking me to let her know when my dog was found because it was really stressing her out. I was really moved by how much she cared for my dog who wasn't even in her care. If I ever move to West Hollywood or know anyone that needs a sitter I would highly recommend Tara. More...

I am SOOOOO grateful to have found Tara and her crew. My dog had a string of awful walkers who like, didn't show up or charged me 30$ to just run her outside (no walk. ..my neighbor spied on them one day hehe) ....HDOAR is amazing though, these people are wonderful and my dog absolutely loves them. They keep a watch on the pups and report anything out of the ordinary (Tara called me to tell me my pup had an ear infection so we were able to get it cleared up right away.) I have only fabulous things to say about them. Quick story: One time I came home and my dog wasn't back yet, I called Tara to see what was going on (this was when I first started using them) she told me she was so sorry but had gotten held up on Rodeo  Drive because a bus load of tourists wanted to take pictures with my dog :) It melted my heart and made me a proud Mama ;) I also love that she took my dog (of course she had asked permission to do so) to somewhere new so she could experience something different from the norm. The best! I hired them based on the yelp reviews I read and they have exceeded expectations. I have a new puppy and not that much experience, so I gave them a call the day I went to the shelter to give them a heads up that I might adopt a dog that day. <br>Jill was here early the next morning for Bailey's first day of pet sitting and several times since then. I work long hours and even though I walk my dogs twice a day, it's not quite enough activity for them. I needed a solution for a couple days a week and Hot Dog on a Run was so great working out a schedule with me! I can tell a noticeable difference when they've gone on a walk or a hike, my dogs are pretty high energy so it's great that they can get so much exercise and socialization while I'm at work all day. Tara and her team are exceptional. You definitely get what you pay for. My sweet Dory who passed away last year had very special needs and Tara and Chelsea in particular were the only people I could trust. I can't say how much it meant to me to be able to count on them when I was out of town or busy. I just honestly can't say enough awesome things about Tara, Jen, Tracey and the whole Hot Dog On A Run crew! They are all so wonderful &amp; I trust them implicitly with our little fur ball. I've used Hot Dog on a Run for the past four years, since I moved to L.A..  I trust Tara implicitly with my two dogs and my home (I've had her or her walkers do overnights at my house on occasion).   After having some pretty crummy experiences with other walkers in town, I feel really lucky to have found her.  There are good, trustworthy walkers out there, after all.  My dogs, Kloe and Kenya (who recently passed) LOOOOVED going on their walks or having overnights - which made me feel so much better/less guilty about going to work or on trips.  I highly recommend this service for anybody looking for solid pet care. I have been using Hot Dog On A Run for almost 2 years now and I am so happy that I found them! Tara is amazing and is always so willing to accomodate the walks I book. I'm very protective and overbearing about my dogs, they're basically my children, and I feel perfectly safe in trusting them in Tara's care. She is also very patient with me and how controlling I am about them. Sometimes I even get suprise texts from Tara telling me she is taking my dogs on an extended walk or playdate, it makes me so happy to know that they really care and put in the effort. They sometimes post pictures on their Facebook page, and its so weird to think that my dogs have this life while I'm at work. It makes me very happy when I see these pictures (for instance, one day they threw a doggie birthday party and I saw the pictures of my dogs there in birthday hats, too cute!!).<br><br>At first I was a little hesitant about using a walking service as oppossed to a private walker, which I had had in the past. My last walker stopped walking because she started a family. That's what I love about using this service, no matter what my request or schedule is, Tara can accomodate because she has an amazing team working for her. So if one walker is out sick, another one can fill in. Makes my life so much easier!<br><br>I use them for walks and for overnight pet sitting. Tara always checks in at the end of vacation sitting to make sure I'm safely home (so I don't have to worry that my pets are left alone should I get stranded).<br><br>They also do cat visits for me when I take my dogs out of town, which is so nice and helpful. Tara and her crew are truly professional. They walked our 2 mini-dachshunds several times a day while we were gone for a long weekend. <br><br>We have cameras and e-mail alerts on our alarm whenever anyone enters and exits the house, so I know exactly what time they were there - and they were punctual down to the minute and walked the dogs for about 20 minutes (which is as much as their small legs can handle). They'll even send you photos of your happy dogs while you're gone!<br><br>We've had some bad experiences with other dog-sitters and walkers, so the Hot Dog crew is definitely a good referral to have! The only thing better than an actual hot dog on a stick is Hot Dog On A Run!  I am always getting busy or leaving town last minute, and H. D.O.A.R. always comes to the rescue. They love animals, and our dogs love them too. They take them for exercise and keep them entertained no matter when I call, and no matter what the weather is like....rain, sleet, hail or snow.
