Writing this after my son's 5th birthday party at Pump it Up in Kirkland. Last year we also did our party at pump it up and we had Darth Vader come. This year we had a lego themed party and my son isn't as mesmerized by characters so I went looking for Kid Bday party entertainers. There were definitely some interesting /questionable people. I had a hard time finding someone legit with an updated website and that I could actually see a sample of their work.Then i stumbled upon Hoopla.  1. Messaged over yelp when I wasn't sure what I wanted. Balloons and face painting or just balloons? And to see pricing and availability. 2. Booked instantly. I was sold once my son looked over my shoulder with " whoaaaa whats that ! Thats balloons?!!!" 3. I checked with pump it up and they said no prob. 4. Maki confirmed before party via email and after the party with receipt as well. Super professional and she is so calm and talented and super duper quick !! all the kids were in awe and loving their creations.  They loved having a menu to choose from.  I enjoyed seeing what everyone picked.   one of the girls at the party got the giant snake balloon over the popular unicorn.  There was plenty to pick from and she brought her own table and setup. So then here we are .. day after party and Im looking at a ninja, lego guy, octopus, and alien hat in my living room.  My son has played with these more than his presents. She brought with her a lego balloon favor cup with goodies inside and gave to my son when she walked in. It was the best way to kick off my son's party while I was dealing with parents walking in. Maki was on time, the detailed work she does is awesome and is so kind.  One of kids popped his sword getting a little rough and she was so kind offering to make him a new one exactly how he had it before. We just had the most AMAZING experience with Hoopla Face Painting!!! Maki was graciousness and patience personified!!! She gave all her time and attention to each child as they were with her, and she did not limit their creative desires for face paint. We had 7 children, ages 3-8, at the party and every one was as happy as could be with their face art and balloons. Having Maki from Hoopla was a perfect addition to my 4 yr old ninja loving-dinosaur raving-pirate sword swinging boy's birthday party. She was on time, prepared and patiently accommodating to the kids at the party. On top of that, her skill and artistry were the talk amongst our guests. So fun! We experienced Hoopla Face Painting at our friends birthday party. She was so nice and accommodating! I loved that my daughter was able to get a butterfly on her hand and not her face! She keeps pointing to it.

We hired Hoopla for our baby's birthday party as a balloon artist and she came through! She was very professional & kind, and the kids were so thrilled with everything she created for them. Highlights:- She created a balloon menu that kids can choose from so they get a visual of the end products before they receive them! So cool! - She can basically make almost anything!- She was on time and left the option for us to extend time as the day went on depending on demand which worked so well for us (and we did end up extending!).We would definitely recommend her & use her again for future events. Hoopla was perfect for our large school event. She was able to get through a ton of kids in 2 hours of face painting. I was really happy we added the balloons as well which were high quality and adorable. They were super quick with responses and easy to schedule and get an invoice from. Maki was amazing! She painted 8 girls faces with the most beautiful designs, glitter and gems! literally the most beautiful face painting I have ever seen! And she made balloon animals for them all too, all in 1 hour! You know those weird unidentifiable balloon animals you sometimes see at events, THIS IS NOT WHAT SHE MAKES! She makes the most glorious balloons, like the most amazing ever! Full unicorns, Elsa wands, very intricate designs with embellishments...I was STUNNED! My daughter was also presented with a beautiful custom balloon animal with a gift goodie cup upon arrival! Magnificent!
