Hillrose Pet Resort

Hillrose Pet Resort did an outstanding job of my adoption layover from Kaua'i to Phoenix. They worked in close contact with Kaua'i Humane Society to ensure her safety in the transportation of her. My little hound came in late in the evening and was promptly picked up. I received a text message of her arrival to SeaTac and delivery to the resort where she was resting comfortably. The driver also assured me she was happy and wagging. The next morning I was greeted with a text of her drop off back to SeaTac for her continued journey to Phoenix. I booked Hillrose to help me board my pup, THor between his flight from Seattle to FL. I was a bit nervous but everything turned out amazing. The driver sent me updates a picture of Thor when he was picked up and informed me when he was dropped off for his next flight and checked in. Amazing service !! My wife and I returned from overseas on a military flight. The Hillrose staff knew exactly where to pickup our giant 700 series kennel, and our 4 month old puppy in his small kennel. Took care of them during our 11hr layover then dropped them off straight to Delta cargo for our next flight. If you have a long layover this place is a life saver and the staff is awesome!! I contacted them the night my dogs landed in Seattle for their overnight layover to check on them. Hillrose had no information that they were staying there and immediately contacted Alaskan airlines to see what was going on. Alaskan airlines call center didn’t tell me that I had to book their stay myself and after multiple phone calls to both Alaskan and Hillrose my dogs were picked up and enjoyed their overnight stay. I have a 11 month old dog hat ive been having trouble finding a place for daycare becasue she is a pitty. My husband left town for a while and becasue she would be alone all day, I had to find a place that would take care of her, play with her, and fed her. Shes very sweet but very vocal and is stand offish with new people so I was nervous at first to leave her here. The staff that have been caring for her everyday are super nice, don't discriminate becasue shes a pitbull and work really well with her. My pup, Pita, has been a Hillrose regular for many years  they've always taken very good care of my baby. Even though I still cry at drop off (I'm a mess! ) I know he's in good hands. We had a change in flight plans due to the polar vortex when shipping my German Shepherd up to Alaska from Boston. The reroute went through Seattle with a long layover. Alaska Air Cargo recommended Hillrose and now I do too. They helped make a difficult travel schedule easier and I really appreciate that. When my dog was with them I got immediate updates via text. They are professional and the prices are reasonable. They offer grooming as well as boarding, so your dog can come home all clean, with her nails trimmed, after her stay at Hillrose.

Hill rose was great for us and our two dogs. We were worried because one of our dogs is a picky eater so while we were in Hawaii Hillrose kept track of how much they ate and let us know, they even called to suggest some changes to their feeding

Outstanding service! At the last minute, our two cats could not fly with us to Honolulu due to temp restrictions in Dallas. We scrambled and Got our cats on a flight that stopped in Seattle but it had a layover of 8 hours . Alaska airline referred us to Hill Rose for layover care. The entire staff(receptionist, email customer service and driver) at Hill Rose were great! Prompt responses, friendly service and the driver even gives you updates via text when they were picked up and dropped off. Scheduled a pickup for a layover and our pets arrived later than expected. The staff didn’t mind at all. They gave my pupper a bath and even washed the mats inside their cages. Great place to take your dog while you are on vacation! We took our 2 dogs, Lab and Shepherd, to Hillrose in June. They were well taken care of! Our dogs showed no sign of sadness that we were gone for 6 days! They had not been to a Kennel before, but they are going back next month! My Doberman and German Pinscher were kennels here for a week.  The check in process was easy, clerk was extremely friendly and sweet to my pups.  They offer services during the stay which are nice feature, such as bathing and nail trims. I will definitely use these guys in the future More...

My two 60 pound yellow labs came here during their layout in Seattle. I got a text from the driver when they were picked up at the airport and when they had been checked back in the next morning. The driver was also very nice about me asking 900 million questions about their well-being and answered them all with no problems. I first heard about Hillrose from Alaska airlines because I was shipping my 55lbs husky mix from Hawaii to North Dakota and he needed to be boarded for a lay over. The thing is he'd fly out the same day but needed to stay 2 nights at Hillrose since our plane lands in ND but Max was being shipped to Minneapolis. I got the texts when Max got picked up from SeaTac and another text when he was dropped off at the airport for his second flight. The receptionists who answered each time I called were very knowledgeable and helpful since I had a ton of questions. Who wouldn't? Max has anxiety and is afraid of males he's never met before so of course I was a worried mess. I never read the reviews until I dropped off Max and I was so worried about him catching fleas since that's what the main issue was aside from dogs not being taken care of. Luckily, there are no fleas on him and he was his derpy self when I picked him up. I was surprised to see that there was no pee pad in the crate. I read that they would change it out so that's why I put in a pee pad instead of a dog bed or even his blanket. Again luckily Max held everything in so there was no mess for me to clean up. Max was also dehydrated, if he stayed 2 nights I would assume that he's get enough water. As for his weight, he does look pretty skinny but I can't say for sure if he wasn't fed since I didn't weigh him yet. But his poop was a good indication. Everyday Max would poop the same size amount. Today he pooped a tiny little nugget and was very constipated. Overall I'm glad I went with Hillrose, Max arrived safe and sound and he looks just fine. Aside from being a little skinny and dehydrated. It could've just been his flights that caused it. If I ever needed to fly  another pet I would consider Hillrose again. More...

We have a crazy little rescued terrier that does not get along with other dogs, so unfortunately our pet care options are pretty limited.  This place is extremely convenient and our dog seems healthy and happy when I pick her up after a long weekend.  She hasn't caught fleas or been sick in any way like other folks have experienced.  We do pay extra so she eats her regular food and I portion it out into little baggies.  She also takes fish oil for her allergies and they do not charge for giving supplements which is cool.  She's on Bravecto flea medicine which I highly recommend, so fleas are just a non-issue for us.  The last time I took her, she was pulling really hard trying to get in which is a good sign to me.  She sure doesn't do this when we're going to the vet for a nail trim!  Everyone is super nice to us.  I've warned them that she can be weird with body handling and they are very gentle and patient.  It's hard to trust people to take care of your pets cause they can't let you know if anything bad happens.  My dog seems stoked to go here though and she's happy and healthy when I pick her up. One of the things I don't like about travelling is having to leave a pet behind. My Ted can't wait to get out of the car and into Hillrose Pet Resort. He loves his extra day walks. I don't trust a lot of people to watch Ted, but I never worry when I leave him with Koko, the owner. Koko is an experienced dog person, a fabulous groomer. We've had nothing but good experiences here. I checked out several places before deciding on this Kennel. The minute you walk into the door, you can see the difference! It's clean, and bright and airy. A lot of kennels can't say that. My only complaint about this kennel? My Ted wants to stay a little longer! Ahem...time to come home little man! Remember me? We have used Hillrose Pet Resort for several years. We have no complaints. My complaint is with other pet owners. Look in your walet and you will find a photo of the ones you love. A pet doesn't have a walet but he has a nose. WEAR a t-shirt for a few days and leave it with your pet that your boarding, your smell will leave him with a image and he will know you are returning to get him. More...

Only place my dog actually gets excited for me leaving her. I can tell they treat her well because she always runs in and immediately up into the lap of whoever is working at check-in. And she is always shy around strangers. Not to mention staff out walking dogs in the play yard when we leave always yell out a good bye to Agnes as we walk across the parking lot back to the car.  I can tell that everyone who works here truly loves animals.
