You can tell that Dr. Schuler truly cares and they were so accommodating when our dog was quickly getting worse and letting us come in without an appointment. I have never had to wait very long at all for an appointment. When we had to say goodbye to our sweet dog, Dr. Schuler called us to say he was sorry and see if they could do anything. I wasn’t looking to change vets when I started coming here. It was a Saturday, my cat was sick and her regular vet was closed. They told me to bring her in but that they were busy and I may have a long wait. I think I was the last one seen that day. The doctor apologized to me for having had to wait so long. I could tell he was sincerely sorry but I was so grateful That not only did they see her, but they stayed an hour late running tests on her. My cat has been sick for a long time and it wasn’t until I started coming here that I have started seeing improvements in her. Even more than the kindness they have all shown, seeing her health improve the way that it is, makes me not even dream of taking her anywhere else. I called yesterday to make my 7 year old boxer/pit Bubba an appointment because it was time to come inside and retire the “guard dog” position. They were able to see me the very next day. They were so friendly and caring. Bubba wouldnt come through the front door so someone came and helped me. They got us into a room right away. They were up front with the price without starting anything and honestly has some great prices. Bubba had some tests done and a few shots. This clinic is the best! The staff is always friendly, and the office and exam rooms are very clean. Dr. Scholer and Dr. Greene both take the time to listen to concerns and answer all questions. Today Max our 13 year old boxer slip into a seizure he couldn’t recover from, it was the hardest thing my family have experienced. The Doctor and staff at Hill Top were extremely compassionate and empathetic to what we were going through. The Doctor explained the end of life process and gave us the time we needed to say our goodbyes. After Max had passed peacefully the Doctor and nurse stayed with us, and helped facilitate the cremation process afterwards. Yesterday I brought my dog, Gizmo, for his first visit at Hill Top Animal Hospital. I was extremely impressed with the hospital and it's amazing staff. Everyone there was so caring, thoughtful and kind to my sweet boy and myself. Gizmo's appointment was with Dr. Ian Scholer and I cannot ask for a more professional and caring Veterinarian than him. You can definitely see his love for animals. Dr. Scholer took his time to address each one of my questions and concerns. Before leaving he made sure we didnt have any additional questions. I would like to say that Hill Top is by far the BEST Veterinarian Animal Hospital I have ever used for my fur babies. I recently had to make the very hard and heart breaking decision to euthanize my beautiful cat Bella. I decided to have her cremated and Hill Top did the most wonderful job with the presentation of her remains along with other very thoughtful keepsakes. They did a card with Bella's paw print embossed in gold ink with her name and the cutest little vial with fur clippings. This was so unexpected and such a personable touch from the Hill Top team that it really made the loss a just little easier. Thank you Dr. Schuler, Dr. Atkinson and Dr. Green, as well as all of the caring staff for all you have done and do everyday to help make our beloved fur babies live happier lives as well as pass over the Rainbow Bridge more comfortably and giving us peace of mind and heart. I have two cats and a dog who all see the vets at Hill Top. They are really great. But it wasn’t until my cat got Pneumonia that I really got know the Vets and staff. They always squeezed us in even when they’re fully booked. They provided wonderful care and treatment for my cat. And they were always so nice and calm in dealing with me. Which says a lot because I can get a bit emotional. My cat has needed ongoing care and everyone there truly care. All the techs are so loving. They distract your babies when they’re getting shots with cuddles and kisses. And the facility is nice, clean and modern. I highly recommend bringing your pets to Hill Top. More...

We have always had a wonderful experience with Dr. Atkinson and the Tech staff, but today was exceptional. I have two boxers, Gunnar and Scout, and unfortunately, Gunnar has had a lot of bad experiences with other dogs a few vets. So, naturally, vet visits for Gunnar are a whole anxiety-inducing production (for me and for him) complete with meds, the best treats money can buy, and even cheese whiz for when the treats won’t cut it. Today, I called Hilltop at about 11am because Gunnar had thrown up 15+ times in the span of 18 hours. They were able to get us in for an appointment 3 hours later, which was so appreciated. Nannette at the front desk was so kind and helpful and made sure there was a clear path for me and my dog-reactive boy to walk straight back to our exam room. Our tech, Kayla, came in and was so sweet with Gunnar—she gave him all the love and he warmed right up to her. Kayla asked us all the important questions and gave us a run down of what to expect. She was so caring and knowledgeable! Dr. Atkinson and Kayla came back shortly to ask more follow-up questions, do an exam, and explain his game plan. Dr. Atkinson makes a point to ensure the dog is comfortable with him before he begins examining any areas of concern and, unlike some vets we’ve seen in the past, is very tuned in to dog body language. They took Gunnar back to perform an X-Ray and since there was no obstruction or blockage visible, gave him a shot to stop his vomiting. For my reactive, anxious, 86lb, beastly fur child to fully cooperate and lay on a table for these two without so much as an inkling of protest is a testament to two things: the benefit of anxiety meds and the wonderful, caring, and reassuring nature of Dr. Atkinson and Kayla. We were sent home with some GI-friendly food, antibiotics, and the peace of mind that (for at least today) Gunnar has not managed eat himself into surgery or death. Big thanks to you guys for ensuring that we had a positive visit! Also, we love Dawn! She has been our tech at all of our prior visits and she is always so caring, funny, and knowledgeable! More...
