I know we treat our Clients right and most of our clients have been long time repeat customers. It all starts when a business owner or other company executive tell us we helped them form a clear vision of what options are best to handle their concerns. They tell us how we helped avoid a costly mistake, resolve an employee problem or handle a long-time back burner HR issue, this is what they wanted.

For example, a business may struggle for months to just update a policy manual. We know what is required for each state, we'll talk with the client about their policy then add missing policies or edit or remove risky ones. Ultimately, the client gets a customized manual within as short as two or three weeks and will even have a meeting to present it to their employees if they want.

We started Harvis because we knew small businesses needed a cost effective way access HR support equal to that of large companies. HR professionals know a Company doesn't need a full time HR manager until they approach 100 employees. Until this time, owners and managers must share responsibilities within the scope of HR and recruitment. This approach re-allocates time away from critical core activities of other business functions and when priorities rise, focus can be lost or important HR issues can be ignored or mishandled.

Often owners and their managers don't have the depth of knowledge needed to avoid a risky compliance issue. Since most businesses in the US will never have a full time HR professional we step in to fill the gap at a fraction of the cost of a full time professional with all the experience.

Whether our Client has two (2) employees or over 100, we know the HR issues they discuss with us are priorities; this makes each client a priority for us. Clients should choose our team at Harvis because we're comprehensive in our approach, we understand the sense of urgency in some HR issues and we're accountable for not just giving advice, but helping with implementing recommendations. We're there for the good times and the challenges and we're loyal to the business with our business first approach. We have skin in the game and are looking for those clients who want an excellent HR Business Partner to be there when needed.

Since Harvis opened in 2006, 90% of our HR Services have been provided to Clients "remotely" by email, phone or Zoom. On-site services are available for those clients who request them in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. On-site services can be provided in other states with notice.

Services

Our initial consult is no charge up to an hour. HR Audits are typically charged a flat fee and include valuable insight to owners on business practices issues, reducing risk and improving their workplaces.

We'll conduct a Human Resource and compliance audit on your business. This includes a review of payroll processes, wage and hour and Fair Labor Standards review, policy review, management and employee perceptions and any red flag targets identified by the client. We write up and prioritize the issues and recommend solutions. Clients can implement the solutions; or we can propose "next steps" to put a plan together.

Out Initial Consult is no charge up to an hour. HR As Needed Services are simply that.... Call, email or request us on site when you need help.

For this service, we charge an hourly fee typically in the $80/ hour range and bill by the minute. Maybe your issue only requires a 15 minute call or a few email exchanges?

We work for your Company as your HR Business Partner. Our clients have as few as 1-2 employees and as many as a few thousand employees. Most of our clients have between 10 and 40 employees. We serve a few states regularly.

Any service we offer an be provided as an as-needed service and will be billed by the hour instead of a project fee, if desired. We document everything we do on time sheets including start and end times and the detailed notes from our activity and this is what is included with a monthly invoice.

Clients use this service once a year, or weekly or only when "something just happened". Call and we'll help..

We have the capabilities to conduct traditional recruiting and will charge a client after the placement is made. We charge a low deposit and no fees are due until after the employee works for 90 days. All placements are guaranteed or they'll be replaced at no charge.

Who helps you with hiring employees? Would you like one or more experienced HR professionals to screen and recommend hires for you based on your job criterion? We write ads and screen people and do so in a professional and reliable way. Clients approve everything the job seekers will see in advance.

We partner with employers in different states to help them hire for ANY position in any industry. From snow shovelers to CDL to Bookkeepers and Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, we help employers fill these and many other positions. We are NOT a staffing agency so our approach does not include co-employment or selling payroll. We handle the time consuming sourcing, screening and interviewing and referring qualified candidates to clients to finish the process and hire who they want.

We fully customize the service and can simply bounce resumes to Clients following a basic screening test or we'll be fully involved through the interview process, negotiation, presentation of offer letter and even on-boarding your new hires with State and Client Hire Packets.

It is simple.. Your company needs HR experience to hit the ground running. It needs to be reliable and professional and can back up their knowledge with experience without standing in the way of your business or owners. Here we are....

Most companies need HR support but only a few hours a week or each month. We are not in business to take anyone's HR responsibilities away, but sometimes a business needs a person with more knowledge than the person doing it, even if that's the owner or a long time trusted employee.

We contract for a year for a range of prepaid service hours each month such as 1-3, 3-5, 5-8, 8-12 or 12-15. We track all used time on a timesheet by the minute and this documents the issues we helped to address for record keeping purposes. We send a bill each month and roll forward any unused time up to a year. If services go over the time allotment, we charge a discounted service fee per hour for those hours.

This service is completely customized for each client and any services we provide can be included.
