My daughter is attending summer camp and is having a great time. We have tried a few different summer camps and she never wanted to go. Every morning she is ready to go to GTFL and never wants to come home. She would stay all day if she could. The owner and staff are all very nice and professional. Our family loves GTFL! I like that the gym is open for parents to view/hear/see what the kids and coaches are doing. My son has been going for many years and has loved his coaches - great with kids at all levels! I highly recommend GTFL!

There is something so very special about Chrissy, the owner, of GTFL. My daughter decided to start competing in gymnastics after years of competing in dance. She wanted to join Miss Chrissy's team after having a few privates with her. She left all her friends and came to a new team and she has loved every minute of it! Chrissy encourages her and is such a wonderful role model for our kids. My daughters confidence and happiness has greatly increased since she joined GTFL. Although we live in Maine, my daughter was pleading for us to find a gym she could visit while we were spending some time in Florida. She is eight years old and has been taking gymnastics classes for a few years. Although she is still considered a beginner, she takes gymnastics very seriously and wanted to work on some skills while on vacation. Luckily, we have dear friends in the Englewood / Venice area who did some checking around for us. GTFL had rave reviews from a few locals, so I decided to give them a call. From my very first interaction, I knew we had found our "other" gym! I spoke with Chrissy briefly about what I hoped to accomplish. The next day, I received an email from GTFL asking specific questions about what skills her coaches wanted her to work on and also what approach helped her learn best (auditory, visual, etc.). I was thrilled that Chrissy would take the time to ask such in depth questions in regard to a student who was not a regular at her facility. She truly wanted to maximize the time we spent with her. Our time at GTFL was a top notch experience. It was clear Chrissy is an outstanding coach who can quickly assess the strengths and weaknesses of each student. Within minutes she had given us a list of core exercises to assist my daughter in gaining strength and flexibility. These exercises were SPECIFIC to her needs as a developing gymnast. I believe my daughter received the best possible instruction, as evidenced by the skills she was able to master in her one on one sessions with Chrissy. Chrissy tailored the lessons to maximize every second we spent in her facility. Another aspect of these lessons I found to be just as beneficial as the expert instruction, was the manner in which the skills were taught and reinforced. I sometimes find that as a new gymnast, fear plays a role in holding my daughter back from mastering (or even attempting) certain skills. However, Chrissy took the time to build her confidence and kept telling her YOU CAN DO IT! It was so satisfying to see her all smiles and so proud of herself after overcoming her fear to complete a new skill. My daughter said, "Chrissy makes me feel like I can do anything!" We visit Florida often, and now we make sure to plan several visits to GTFL on every trip. I feel like we won the lottery finding this gem of a gym!
