My husband and I wanted to take family beach photos and celebrate our baby's 6 month milestone as well. Our photographer was John, and he was great to work with on the beach. It was hot that morning, but we had fun! The photos turned out great and we ended up getting most of them! His wife, Brenda, was professional and friendly to work with at their office setting at the Hyatt. We also liked the convenience of a photographer at our hotel, and the date/time availability for our session. The CD and prints arrived a few weeks later, as expected, and the online copies were available the same day as our session. Plan to spend a bit of $$$, as everything is expensive in Maui. We have no regrets as this kind of trip and photography session left us with memories of a lifetime. More...

I highly recommend Grins 2 Go - the owners handle the entire experience including the photography, scheduling and sales of prints/cd. They are so personable and easy to work with. They work well with large groups (we had 9 people) and are very fast without you feeling rushed. Very good with kids too! Loved Brenda and John! Everything was perfect, from location to photos. We were referred to them upon doing research and asking for recommendations. I love my sunset pictures! We went to Maui for our 40th anniversary and decided to get our picture taken by a professional photographer. I did my research on the internet and there was no doubt that Grins 2 Go had the highest quality photos. I made an appointment. On the day we were supposed to have our pictures taken it was raining. I called Brenda and it was no problem to switch to a different day. We met John on the beach and he was so much fun to work with! I could tell that the pictures were going to be good by the way he had us pose and what he had us do. I was so excited when we went to view the pictures because they came out even better than I hoped for! People were even stopping to watch the photo presentation because they were so good! We were a family of 10, in Maui over Thanksgiving week celebrating my parents 50th anniversary. I'm so glad that we connected Grins 2 Go to commemorate our time as a family in Maui. Things that really impressed me were: Customer Service: I was floored when Brenda called me in China - no business in the USA ever calls me back because it's an international call, but she did! I really appreciated the pre-visit consultation, it really helped with deciding to stay on-site at the hotel, rather than going to a location, which was better for our family that had young and old members. Photography: I think John can handle anything or any personality! Experienced professional and it shows. 10 people, ranging from 5 to 75 with 10 different personalities can be hard to handle. He got us (my mom) to try new things and in the end she chose a shot for a canvas that wasn't her "normal" studio pose. Speed: My mom's canvas arrived within a week or very quickly from our visit. Also, I could not believe that we were reviewing prints within 24 hours of the shoot! Thank you also for ALL the digital images, I made a photo book for my mom for Christmas and I sent all the prints to my digital frame - we can all enjoy our magical time in Maui every day, thanks to you! Our family had a great time and are really happy with the results. John met us at Lahaina 7:30am for the photo shoot and we were viewing our photos with Brenda at the Hyatt Regency at 10am. Everything went super smooth. We ended up getting the package with the digital files and are so pleased. Our trip to Maui was our Christmas gift to our family which included 3 generations. After such a fun trip, the only thing we have left are our memories and our photos. We are so thankful that we chose Grins2Go for our beach protraits. Even our 3 grandsons, ages 14-21, had a great time with John. My fiance and I recently got engaged during sunset during our stay at the Hyatt Regency. It hadn't really occurred to me to have our engagement photos done on the island, until I saw their desk with the slide show and photo opportunities. I was so excited, I went online to check booking times and there were 2 sunset sessions left!I called, left a message, and Brenda called me back immediately with pricing information- we met her the next morning and booked the time slot. We met up with our photographer Eric at the beach location- he was professional and very nice.When it was time to go through our photos, we were stunned! I can not imagine not having had our special Maui trip documented professionally.. we were able to have the most exciting time of our lives captured. You can tell Brenda has been doing this for awhile, we were extremely comfortable having her help us choose the prints we were going to keep forever and send to our families. If you are on the fence, just do it! This company did an amazing job with our family portraits. Our photographer John was funny. He was able to get my kids to relax and have fun. My kids actually admitted to me that they ENJOYED our portrait session (the thing they had been dreading having to do while on vacation). The pictures turned out great! Everyone loves them. The hard part is that there are so many amazing ones that we are having a hard time narrowing down which ones to turn into canvases for our walls. Fortunately, they allow you to buy the CD of all the pictures, which we did, so now we have many beautiful pictures of our family in paradise.
