I've driven past this place over a dozen times and finally stopped in today. I'm mad at myself for not coming here sooner! The food is incredibly savory and delicious yet, healthy. This is def one of the best places to eat in the area. I was impressed not only by the fresh food but the fresh hospitality as well. Although it def isn't one of the cheaper priced spots around I don't mind paying the little extra to get some quality food. Great vibes here, stop by and try it out for yourself. Must say the bread pudding is my favorite, but the shrimp bowl with jasmine rice is delish as well. Don't sleep on it when the #GrilledFraiche truck is in your neighborhood.

I tried the salmon for the first time at the new location and it cooked and seasoned perfectly. their teriyaki sauce is just the cherry on top for any plate. My son tried their kids chicken bowl but thought it was a bit too "spikey" lol but still went in. the grilled veggies which is a perfect healthy mix was especially his fav. Coming from a Caribbean family I love the touches he puts on his plates with the seasonings, plantains, and a cup of pineapple ginger juice to wash it all down with. Let me start by saying, service always contributes to your experience with a place/service. Grilled Fraiche has excellent service, and that alone helped me feel ok spending $35 at a food truck.
The girl who greeted me was warm, professional, and intuitive. As I approached the truck I could see her stand to greet me. After confirming that I could use my credit card (bad me I only had $8 cash on me, yet the least expensive entree was $10) she proceeded to take my order. Guiding me through my choices at each step. When we got to sauces, without prompting, she said "hold on a second, let me get you a sample". Handing me the sample she described each, and waited patiently while I went back and forth about the qualities of each before settling. At no point did she seem irritated or frustrated with my indecisiveness. Without being pushy she asked if I wanted any other items on the menu, naming off appetizers, salads, drinks, and desserts. Well I heard bread pudding and could not say no.
So on to what you want to know. The food was delicious. In fact my instagram post says, and I quote, "@grilledfraiche this salmon bowl is giving me life. I mean like literally moving the blood through my veins. Thank you. This is amazing." I absolutely enjoyed every bite. I also purchased the shrimp bowl which I gave to my mother. She loved hers as well. And the bread pudding, let's just say next time I go (because there will be a next time) I'm getting 2 pieces. I could go on some more about it but it'd be torturing myself. Sufficed to say I have nothing but good things to say about grilled fraiche, incredibly tasty, flavorful, perfectly cooked (not dry nor charred), fresh food and equally as fantastic service. I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone.

Ok where do I begin! The seasoning reminded me of home. Any Caribbean person worth their salt knows that your meat needs to be well seasoned or else you will hear about it in no uncertain terms! Let's just say I had a carnival going on in my mouth! I bought the chicken and shrimp Bowl with brown and jasmine rice as well as grilled veggies. One piece of plantain was included in each bowl which was the only travesty because I wanted MORE plantain�� Both of the sauces they offered complimented both the chicken and shrimp. The bread pudding was well made and not mushy. Even thought it was a little too sweet for me I still ate it because the flavor was devine! FB: I would see this place on the way home, but never stopped. Today, while out on errands, I saw the truck at 120th and Crenshaw and decided to stop. Omgoodness! So glad I did. Great neighborhood healthy takeout place to eat. The food is simple but great with a Caribbean Flair. If you like bread pudding, theirs is by far one of the best I've tasted. Calling in your order is the way to go because your order is made to order and at certain times of the day it's very busy. Unfortunately, there's no inside dining. I hope this restaurant makes it. I'm from Canada and I found out about grilled fraiche through Instagram. I headed there the first day I landed and it just amazing. The food was excellent but what really exceeded my expectations was the service. I felt like I was part of the family and they also hooked me up with a complimentary dessert. I was travelling a lot so I didn't get a chance to go back but great guys can't recommend them enough. I will definitely visit again when I'm back in California More...

Hey FB Fam...I finally got the chance to and so I decided to pickup lunch for my family at "Grilled Fraiche" they serve Cali-Caribbean creations!
I've got to say...the food here was absolutely excellent and I enjoyed every bite!!
More importantly the service is stupendous...make sure to say Hello to Nichelle who takes your order!!
Also, you must try their freshly homemade juices...I had the "Ginger Punch" is giving me life!!
A special Big ups to the owner Marshawn Deon Williams...may God continue to Bless your path and all your present and future endeavors...and so glad I got to see you today!!!
So friends go and get yours...it may be a line, but it is worth the wait!!
