Grief About Pets, LLC - GAPs

GAPS' counselor Brenda Brown is compassionate and supportive and helped me better cope with the loss of several very dear animal family members. When your grief is about the loss of a pet, many people just don't understand how to be sympathetic or supportive. Some don't understand why a pet's death is such a big deal, others just don't know what to do or say to comfort a person grieving the loss of a pet. Even though there is growing recognition of the special benefits of having and being bonded with animal companions, (service animals and housepets alike,) there are still few specific resources available to help with deep loss when those furry friends eventually succumb to illness or old age.I highly recommend this service to anyone dealing with the loss of a beloved companion animal themselves, or to anyone close to someone suffering from this grief who wants to help.
