Hello! I'm JD Jacobson, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in San Antonio, TX. I started in this field with the basic belief that we all are good, or at least trying to be, and that life can get in the way of what we need. When that happens, it's hard to figure out what to do next, and that's when we need some help to get where we want to go.

If you are looking for counseling that is authentic, honest, encouraging, supportive and focused on your goals, then you and I should work together! Using cognitive-behavioral strategies, my therapy is effective in helping the client manage severe diagnoses and behaviors, specifically trauma, thoughts of suicide, self-harm, depression, and anxiety. My approach to therapy is that to have real results, there must be real work, and I'm here to commit to work with you to get where you want to go!
