My two puppies are regular day camp participants here. They had been to another daycare in the area and it concerned me that they weren't too excited to enter the place when I dropped them off in the mornings. Not the case with the Great Valley Pet Hotel - they run in with wagging tails. This weekend the pups had their first overnight stay at the hotel. They seemed to have enjoyed that experience too. My dog has lots of anxiety and tends to nip when being groomed. So, needless to say, I was uncertain if he would do well with the groomer, Christina. Since his first grooming about 3 years ago to now, he has not had one issue. He's been calm and lets her do whatever she needs to do. It is a place where you can trust your pet .I have been taken my Stella for years. Even though Great Valley is not close to my home , I'll do all the ride when I need boarding. We've been going here for grooming and boarding for many years. Our 4th and 5ths dogs are now customers, and 1,2 and 3 loved it as well. My pup Jet LOVES Great Valley Pet Hotel! She was adopted from the SPCA and came to me shy with people and other dogs. The staff here recognizes her shyness and has helped her slowly get accustomed to a variety of people and other dogs. Jet does private camp and overnights for the past year and a half. Her demeanor shifted after a year of regular trips to day camp where she now wants to greet people and can tolerate being near other dogs without running away. I LOVE this place. My dog does too. My pup is shy with people and with dogs. She's been doing doggie daycare and some overnight boarding. It's helped her come out of her shell and she's gotten more comfortable around people and dogs. The staff is simply fantastic! And they always have room for her, even last minute. Our dog Miko needed a place to go during the day while my wife and I were at work, and the kids are away at school. I can say with confidence, that the Great Valley Pet Hotel makes Miko feel like he's at home. The staff is very friendly, and the facility is equipped to handle a variety of animals. Like the previous reviewer, my dog is also tremendously anxious. To the point he would come home physically ill from other boarding places, not having eaten or drank any water the whole time he was there and still rather upset. What a remarkable difference in picking him up from the GVPH! He was not whining or trembling on the way home as normal, he didn't need a gallon of water when we walked through the door and he seemed like his normal pleasant self! They told me they even sat with him while he ate because he seemed less stressed and more likely to eat that way.Thank you to the nice people at Great Valley Pet Hotel, you obviously and sincerely had my little pals best interest at heart and it showed, we will be back! Lacey LOVES coming to camp (both for day camp and boarding). She knows as soon as we get off the Frazer exit of 202 that we are headed to GVPH. Our Cardigan Welsh Corgi - Justin - has been going to GVPH since the first day they opened. I think that is about 11 years ago! And now, his little brother Peppi, the Chion, joins him there too. For both boarding and day care it is amazing - they take care of the animals like they are their own. We are forever grateful for how well our boys are cared for. My pet love this place, he always gets excited when we reach there. Staff are very friendly, gives you how your pet did or if he made any new best friend. It has been 3 months I keep my pet twice a week for day camp in Great Valley Pet Hotel and I never had any issue.My pup plays whole day, and when he comes home, he sleeps since he gets tired by playing whole day with his friends there.I would recommend this place for pet parents. I've confidently brought my anxiety-prone dog to Great Valley Pet Hotel twice now. They seem to really accommodate her nervous quirks, and she seems comfortable with the staff. I thought it a little excessive to charge $15 (in addition to the daily rate) to include her in outdoor playtime with the dogs that are there just for daycare. I'd think playing outdoors is part of the package at a reasonable pet hotel. But the staff is friendly and didn't mind when I called from vacation to check in. More...
