I needed to upgrade three bathrooms as they were out of date and code compliance. Barukh Benamin made a reasonable offer that was comparable to other offers I received from builders around the bay area. However, GPI builder's reviews were what made me go with GPI builders. The reviews are/were right on.GPI builders delivered the expected remodel professionally. The crew Jorge, Josuae and Martin (Spellings may be incorrect) were always on time.The office crew (Kim) delivered on the paperwork (lein releases etc) and scheduling inspections.There were some delays, but not related to GPI builders. I hired GPI Builders back February to do an addition and one bathroom remodel. My bathroom consisted of me making the shower wider, adding new flooring because it was completely out dated and cheap, replacing a window for a bigger window and making it look a lot more modern overall. They were very professional, flexible and communicative they were available to help with any questions and concerns at any time. We had a group chat and any details, plans, or questions were being answered fairly quickly. There were a couple of issues that happened as remodeling was happening which were out of GPI's control it just had to do with the house being old but even then they made sure we were being helped rather than feeling like we had to figure things out on our own. We had Mayer's CNR do a complicated addition and remodel that added a bathroom and expanded the footprint of the house. Not the cheapest, but very professional, flexible, and communicative throughout the project. Friends of ours with similar or even smaller projects complain about their contractors taking much longer than promised and being ghosted for days by their project managers. That was not the case with Mayer's Team.The project was done on time and within the quoted budget, despite several unexpected complications along the way, including the age of the house and the fact that the crew had to work around us so that we could stay in the house for most of the project.The addition is beautiful and the house is much more functional and enjoyable than before. A total pleasurable experience with all aspects of the repair work! My house, along with many other San Franciscans, were hit hard by the unprecedented rainfall this past winter from the new word in our ever-expanding, climate change vocabulary, "atmospheric river". damage to my deck, and down below a multimedia green screen/black screen shooting stage. The cruise hired for each facet of the job were top notch, professional, and got the job done in a timely fashion.Five Stars for Mike Myers in particular. Truly a craftsman. Mike Mayer, an extremely accommodating and attentive contractor, visited my location on a Friday morning. He looked at each important step. Though the cost was higher than I anticipated, it was worthwhile. He arrived the following morning at 9am with Nathan, who then started working. GPI Builders did a fantastic job on remodeling the master bathroom and guest bathroom. I highly recommend GPI Builders as they are certainly responsive and very knowledgeable team. Ben, the project manager and his team were absolutely professional and honest. They worked very efficiently and effectively. They have ability to accomplish and they are very competent builders. Had the pleasure to work with both Ben and Omer on our home addition. From beginning to end communication was great. Throughout this 8 month project, any concerns and questions were addressed quickly. They had some great recommendations for different vendors that we ended up using. An added plus was their in-house design service (included in the price estimate) which we took advantage of and were very happy with. We hired GPI Builders to remodel my mother's home in San Jose. The deck needed to be rebuilt and had the bathrooms and kitchen remodeled to be ADA compliant. Ben and Jonathan were the project managers and we loved working with them, can't recommend them enough! They were communicative and got the work done in a timely manner with minimum disruption to my mother. Trust and transarency issues in hiring a contractor is of paramount importance to me. As a single adult , it was maddening to have prospective contractors submit over priced quotations while recommending that you cut corners. My bathroom was extremely outdated, but my hesitancy in hiring a company was that I knew absolutely nothing about renovations.From the beginning I found Eido and his staff to be reasonable and professional. We discussed in detail, the work that needed to be done. He brought up prep work and other prior problems that no other contractors had identified. Eido and his team pay particular attention to detail. They were prompt, extremely clean and professional. I had shared a personal non-negotiable deadline that had to be kept and was. I am so satisfied with the quality of workmanship and products recommended. They were clean and did not leave the area dusty or dirty. People who saw my bathroom before and after are amazed as well. I have been so impressed with the transformation that I immediately agreed to enter into a contract to have my kitched renovated. GPI helps us with the full house remodel. A project over 6 months. Ben and Omer are very responsible and helpful during the process. We are happy we choose GPI as our contractor to such a big project.Also, they knows a lot of good suppliers with discount we can buy from. Revision: I previously gave GPI 5 stars but after using System Pavers for another project I had to move them down. System pavers did a much higher quality work. They were the ultimate in every way.I love our patio GPI did as well but they did not make it as big as we agreed upon and left 2 sides with massive amounts of cement oozing out. To the point I had to call them to fix it. With that said there's still a lot of cement showing. This is why I'm lowering my score. More...
