I absolutely love this gem of a restaurant. I have been eating here for years and it is always consistent  and the food is delicious and savory. I order the turkey meatloaf and cauliflower mash with grilled veggies. I can't stop eating it. I'd bathe in the cauliflower mash if they showed me how to make it. This is one of my favorite restaurants. I come here at least once a week for lunch and cannot get enough. The staff is extremely friendly and polite. I usually order the daily special, whatever they have for the day and it's delicious. They have a standard menu with items like churrasco and salmon which are phenomenal and the price is good for the quality and quantity of food. The only negative is the parking. After driving by countless times and thinking, I have to check out this place I finally did it. It's a sandwich shop really, at least from what I can tell. Really cool setting in an old gas station of years past. Parking and seating is limited as it is in most places around this area. The decor was nice and very bistro like. We each ordered a sandwich and shared it. After all sharing is caring and let's face it you can try a few different things. The sandwiches awesome very good and "normal" size not your usual American oversized over eat stuff. The price however is just a little high if you ask me, but still manageable and not so much I won't go there again. The bathroom looks like a gas station bathroom and is through the kitchen. It seemed a bit dirty for me. If they were to clean that up a bit I'd give them a 5 star and I'd over look the slight over reaching price since the food is that good. More...

Can't say enough about this place. I eat lunch here almost every single day and their meals do not disappoint. Aside from their regular menu, they also have a daily special & vegetable of the day (which is what I always request). Just in town and helped for something close. Place rocks with original food. Service is awesome. Charles greeted us quickly, explained the daily specials. Selected the Turkey meatballs with bluecheese and spinach. Yummy. Sides included rosemary potatoes and grilled veggies. For $ 10.65. Rock solid meal. Make sure to ask for Charles. This was my first time trying this place after driving by on several occasions. I ordered it for delivery.The other yelpers really liked this place and I can see why. The menu isn't that big, but what they have is quite yummy and fresh. Very fresh.I ordered the meatloaf. I was a bit apprehensive because it was turkey and it can be gamey tasting if it is not super fresh. It was delicious. Super flavorful. I also had the mashed potatoes and grilled veggies which were nice.My dining companion had the churrasco steak with chimmichurri sauce. I tried a bite of that. YOWZA. Incredible! For $12 you got a nice size piece of very tender meat, done to perfection. Next time I am going to order that.For dessert I wanted the brownies and banana cake. They were out of both. I used to work right down the street from this place and I always begged my coworkers to go to lunch there. The food is so delicious ! It is healthy and tasty and very reasonably priced. I really enjoyed the "surprise mashed potatoes", which are actually mashed cauliflower. It is so yummy. For a no carber like me this really made my day. Plus they make an irresistible carrot cake. I had the Gourmet Station cater a little dinner party I hosted last week at my home.  Everything was delicious.  I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki; Grouper with cherry tomatoes, leeks and white wine sauce; Wild rice with cranberries and walnuts; Asparagus with sesame seed oil and red peppers; Plantains; Mixed green salad with garbanzo beans, beets, mandarin oranges, pistachios with balsamic vinaigrette on the side.  The food arrived in plenty of time.  Quantities were quite large.  The price was reasonable.  I was delighted.  Initially I thought their menu wasn't overly varied especially given their location.  The Upper East Side features a terrific selection of restaurants with all kinds of new and vibrant cuisines.   The Gourmet Station has a lovely menu but it veers towards slightly more traditional selections.  No worries.  When you are hosting a party, your main concern is that there be something for everyone to enjoy and that the food is flavorsome and tasty.  The Gourmet Station delivers on all those criteria.  If you live in this neighborhood, check out this little gem the next time you are hosting a party and don't have the time to cook.  You will be glad that you did.  The owner's name is Salvador and he is happy to help you create a suitable menu for your occasion! This place fills a great niche!  I pay for 10 meals in advance, and when I am ready for them, I call to order, and they will have it ready for take out or will deliver it to my house.  The food is really tasty, and they ingredients are high quality.  They also have a special every day.  This place has saved me from having to cook dinner countless times!  It is so convenient and VERY good.  I give them 4 stars for quality and consistency, and the 5th star for  offering a much-needed service to anyone like me who cannot cook and clean the kitchen every night :)  I highly recommend! Columbus Day I was riding my bike and saw that Gourmet Station was open and I have been wanting to try the place. I went for lunch and it was absolutely a very pleasant surprise. If you want fresh, delicious and inexpensive food at a really cool intimate cafe then GOURMET STATION is your place!!! I ate the turkey wrap and now no other wrap compares. Today was my 3rd visit to Gourmet Station.  Each time I've ordered the special of the day.  So far I've had the Cuban Pork, the Meatloaf and the Stuffed Chicken.  All delicious.  The sides are also awesome, my favorite is the "Surprise Vegetable".  The broccoli is also very good because it is steamed perfectly.  Maybe next time I will order from the regular menu.  I looked at what people on other tables were eating and it looked delicious as well.  Everything tastes very fresh, like its made with good ingredients.  As far as ambiance goes, I sat outside with my dog and even at 2pm and 93 degrees there was a very enjoyable breeze, and it felt very nice and shaded because of all the plants.  Sergio and the rest of the staff make you feel like you are at a a friend's house.  A friend that makes delicious food. Gourmet Station, sorry to have forgotten about you for so long. I used to frequent this spot several years ago. Then we moved away, and since we have moved back I hadn't been in to pick up any food. I have been busy checking out all the new places. Well, today we went in and they are still serving up good, healthy food at reasonable prices. Their menu has a variety of options including salads, sandwiches, wraps, and full meals with main dishes and sides. Sandwiches include things like Mozarella and Tomato, and Roasted Turkey. Meals include things like salmon or churrasco with sides like plantains and rice with veggies. The prices are very reasonable. Sandwiches are around $6/7 and meals are between $8-$10.They also offer catering and meal plans. Their meal plans seem reasonable at $80 for 10 meals that come with 1 main and 2 sides. Since I had been there (over 5 years ago, yikes!) they have added more indoor seating. I like that since I used to just pick up my food. Now, I could see this as a nice lunch or early dinner spot.They do close on the earlier side, around 8 or 9, I think. So keep that in mind.Parking is better on the side street than right on Biscayne.They deliver for $2 or $3 depending on the location. More...

This is a great little place to pick up some takeout on the way home. Sometimes they do run out of things, but they always have something delicious to substitute. The special the other day was a grouper with white wine sauce and it was amazing! My boyfriend and I have had the chicken with mango chutney, which is delicious, and I am always up for one of the waldorf salads, which can be made with either chicken or tuna. One day, the chef recommended I try the sweet vidalia onion dressing and it was to die for. Whenever I pickup a salad, I ask for this dressing. Gourmet Station is another great little lunch place on the Upper East Side.  They seem to keep busy doing a lot of deliveries (in the area, I'd guess), but I stopped in today with some co-workers to get lunch to go.  They're selection is pretty extensive - they have sandwiches, salads, pastas, and entrees, and a selection of sides to go along.  Everything is made fresh on the premises - the kitchen makes up the majority of the place, with seating for about 8 inside, and a few more outside.  The prices are very reasonable - I had the chicken salad sandwich - served on a baguette - and it was $6.  The entrees, that come with your choice of 2 sides, are $8.  The salads are somewhere in between.  All my luncheon companions were satisfied with their meals.  Gourmet Station is another lunch spot to keep in the repertoire, for sure.
