Q&As

I love the process of watching someone learn something and then finally understand it. This goes for dogs and people! I used to work as a tutor and was really happy when the material we went over was understood by the student.

Growing up I would watch the dog show every year on TV and I would memorize the dog breeds. I even read dog training books for fun! I still read dog training books, listen to podcasts, and take courses about dogs! I wanted to start my own business because I love interacting with dogs and people and teaching and learning wverything that we are capable of.

My name is Sam and I am working towards my certification to become a professional dog trainer, CCPDT-KA. I have an associates degree in social and Behavioral Sciences and have been involved in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2010. Although, ABA is typically for people with autism it is a form of applying the knowledge of how someone learns to change behavior.

Lessons can be held outside, and masks can be worn. I also provide hand sanitizer.

Services

Private dog training is between the trainer and the family and their dog(s). We can meet at the park, or at your home! Sessions are an hour long.

The consultation is for me to learn about your dog and family. And to gauge temperament and how well we would work together. Consultation will be anywhere from 30 minutea to an hour.
