Gemma is an amazing photographer and did a wonderful job of capturing us as ourselves. She is patient, got the kids involved in the process and caught many unplanned/unstaged moments that, as a mom, are so special to see and remember. During our Maternity photos she made me feel very special and pretty. She has also taken photos of us as a family and at a special birthday party. We spent our last honeymoon evening with Gemma on Maui when she took our after wedding photos. I went to university with Gemma and reached out to her when I was planning an elopement to Maui. My now husband had never met her and was nervous to have his photos taken. Gemma’s vibrant, welcoming, caring and passionate personality helped him feel immediately comfortable. She made us both laugh all afternoon and captured beautiful and natural photos. My family visited Maui for our 25th anniversary. It was so beautiful. One of the highlights of the entire trip was our photo shoot with Gemma Rose. We had a chaotic family with energetic kids and wondered how long it would be before the whole situation broke down. Gemma was so patient with us all. She even started taking photos as we walked from the parking lot to the beach. There are some lovely paths along the way, and the kids were running toward the water. She captured this joy and spontaneous enthusiasm beautifully. The whole experience was great. Gemma was patient and friendly. She set up some fantastic shots and managed to stay aware of all of the random action around her. In the middle of a shot of my wife and me, she would turn and catch the kids splashing in the surf, then get right back to the original shot, unphased. It was professional and personal at the same time. The resulting album that we received is such a wonderful part of our memories from that trip. I hope that she is still available for our 30th! Gemma is such a wonderful photographer! She was open to my ideas of a type of shoot she had never done before and jumped right in without any hesitation.
