I went here for the first time after a long walk next-door at Glenwood Gardens. I was very impressed with how the workers were so organized and the food was so fresh! They quickly assembled my order and got my food just as quickly. And the price was very reasonable.  I did a build your own bowl with tofu and vegetables and brown rice. Business name caught my eye while in the neighborhood, so I pulled up the menu. Deep fried sushi rolls with cream cheese and grilled shrimp? Toto, we are not on the West coast any more. Thankfully, everything is fully customizable here, from rolls to bowls with various Asian fusion flavors (hence the name). You really can go as healthy or unhealthy as you want, here. Customized a fresh sushi roll in soy paper with brown rice, grilled shrimp, added salmon, with avocado and cucumber, topped with spicy mayo and masago. Various upcharges made it similar in price to a special roll at a sit-down restaurant (~$12) but they do have cheaper options. Received product was as ordered, was fairly fresh but the grilled shrimp was unseasoned and didn't really add anything to the flavors. Service for pickup was fast and friendly. Stopped in at the Colerain location for a quick lunch on a Saturday. Staff was very helpful with explaining how to create your own bowl or roll from menu offerings. The guy taking my order went as far as to ask me my likes and dislikes and offering suggestions. I decided on a 2 piece, crab rangoon appetizer and a noodle bowl with grilled shrimp and veg in General Tso's sauce. My friend went with a veggie spring roll appetizer and a tofu and veg noodle bowl with ginger sauce.I used the Yelp check in deal ($2 off your order) which ended up getting me my app for free. At check out, the staffer offered me samples of their new boba tea to try. She even encouraged me to try all three if I wanted. The boba was overly sweet for me, but I enjoyed getting to sample it. This was our first time here, and I can see us coming back. It's kinda like a poke bowl, but mixed with hibachi/stir fry. Not completely what I was expecting, but I think I know how to change my order to make it better (no corn next time, it had cilantro which messed with the flavors) . I'm not sure if it was the ginger sauce or what they cook it all in, but my dish was very salty, so I'm going to ask to try the sauces next time before picking one. Good sushi and Asian style cuisine in a quick service format  (you pick your choices and add ons).  I like the idea of being able to pick my own toppings and Fusabowl does not disappoint as they have fresh toppings from avocado to carrots and crab meat!

We were going to a "Shakespeare in the Park" event this evening at a park next door to this place of business, and we decided to give Fusabowl a try for our evening meal, which we took into the park and enjoyed in our seats while we waited on the play Julius Caesar to start.  I had the shrimp tempura bowl with added chicken, plus almost ALL the veggies (no onions), a brown rice and noodle base, 3 sauces (yum-yum, spicy mayo and sweet-sour), and all the toppers - tempura crunchers, sesame seeds, sliced ginger and wasabi.  My wife had the grilled salmon bowl with a salad base, carrots, broccoli and corn for the veggies, with spicy mayo and sesame seeds.  There sure was a LOT of food for the money!  And it was GREAT to boot!  We really enjoy all the flexible options in building bowls of our choice!  We'll be back for sure!! Food: I ordered sushi roll with crab, shrimp, cucumber and cream cheese. It was so good! It came out hot, fresh and super tasty.  I also bought some crab ragon and they were delicious as well. The ingredients taste fresh and not like it's been sitting there. Venue:  The place looks to be clean and well kept. The area for sitting is nice. It's a fun place not your typical sushi spot. It almost reminds me of a yogurt spot, with the bright colors. I love how bright it is in the. They have all the ingredients out in a buffet style by the register. The staff making the food was nice, but the girl at the register should probably get a new job with her attitude. Price: Not expensive but be careful adding stuff, because it can get a little pricey. Like it was a dollar extra to deep fry and two dollars extra for the shrimp in my roll. But overall you won't go broke in here lol. This place I would say reminds me of a chipotle for sushi. I hate saying things are "the Chipotle of {blank}" in this case Asian cuisine, but kind of true, and people understand it. First going in, it can be a little overwhelming. But just know, you can either pick from a menu (with things like general tso's chicken) or you can make your own. They do both entrees (bowls) and sushi. They have things numbered to help you out. You pick a rice type or noodles (noodles are excellent!) And pick your protein (or 2), then veggies and sauce(s). Same for sushi. They also have Snap Wraps, which are basically basic half rolls of sushi. You pick one protein, and 2 veggies, and whatever toppings. And you get 5-6 pieces. The bowls are a decent size. Me and hubby normally each get one and then split a snap wrap. I love the customization and employees are friendly and don't mind you trying to make up your mind! I came here based on their reviews calling it "a Chinese chipotle" and "the best crab Rangoon" they've ever had. Upon arrival the place was very clean. The man taking orders was friendly but hard to understand. The girl at the cash register looked like she was living a nightmare and being forced to work against her will. She was an unhappy, unfriendly girl. The food itself was good. I was pleased with the amount of shrimp and chicken that we got because some places seem to skimp on the meat. I will agree that it's like a Chinese chipotle but I'm sorry to say the crab Rangoon is not the best I've had. That title is still held by Bangkok Palace in Chillicothe, Ohio.My only suggestion would be to add more vegetable choices for bowls. Currently they have broccoli, onions, corn, jalapeños, and carrots.I'd recommend to the owner to consider adding some mushrooms, green & red peppers, edamame, maybe even some cilantro & green onions.   Overall, we were very happy with the visit. I'm normally really please with FusaBowl. However this time I ordered take out online they did not include any vegetables. I ordered the Yum Yum grilled shrimp bowl which comes with broccoli, carrots, corn and onions. All I got was shrimp, brown rice and yum yum sauce. Rating would have been a lot higher. Will be calling the manger as I did not realize this until I goUPDATE: I received a phone call from the manager maybe an hour after submitting this review. He apologized and is fixing the issue. First of all, I'm so happy there is a Japanese influenced restaurant in the area! The place is clean and the staff is very friendly. However, I went in the other day with my mouth watering for a Bangkok Crab bowl that I had just seen on their website. I was very disappointed to find out they no longer lffer.the Bangkok peanut sauce. The last time I ate here, I had bean thread noodles, which I loved, but they no longer carry those either.  I ended up with a yum yum roll and gyoza which were both just.ok. Tried out this restaurant and was well pleased.  The place was clean and had good lighting.  I like the way that I could create my own food by choosing between fusabowl, sushi roll or salad bowl.  For instance, by me choosing the fusabowl, I could pick between white rice, brown rice, rice noodles or fried rice.  After that I could select my protein between chicken, steak, shrimp, eel, tofu, shrimp tempura, crab, tuna or salmon.  What a long list of things to try!  Pick your vegetables amongst carrot, avocado, cucumber, lettuce, cilantro, onion, jalapeno, broccoli, corn, along with cream cheese or cheddar cheese.  Opt between 11 different sauces then 5 different things you could top it with. What a great place.  We gave it a try the other day.  Place is very clean and bright on the inside.  The people working there were great and very helpful. As others have commented, you go through the line and can customize your order, like some other restaurants, just the way you want it.  So my predicament was that I wanted to try one of their Bowls, but I also wanted to try some Sushi.  Turns out they have an item on the menu called "Snap Sushi Wrap" which turns out to be a half order of their regular sushi.  It was 5 or 6 pieces for $3.95.  I got the Crunch Crab sushi.  It was delicious and so fresh. They make it up fresh and bring it to your table.  I thought the pieces were very big.Now I also wanted to try a bowl.  Well, turns out since I was getting the snap sushi wrap I could also get a "kids meal", which is just a smaller size bowl.  I had the chicken with brown rice, then picked the vegetables I wanted, then picked the sauce and any toppings.  It was wonderful.If you are in the mood for some sushi or a bowl then you should definitely give this place a try.  It is "fast food", fresh and delicious. I have been able to eat at Fusabowl a handful of times now because it is close to my job. I have tried several different things here and mostly enjoyed all of it! Sushi, chicken or tofu bowls with rice or noodles, different drinks and appetizers. I've tried it all!Overall, this is a good restaurant. It has fast friendly service, and gives you the option to create your own bowl or sushi roll with delicious Asian ingredients. I was initially very enthralled with that idea, as it is like a Subway or Chipotle but with Asian food...I have never seen that anywhere before.Their chicken teriyaki bowl with rice or noodles is my personal favorite option. I have tried different combinations with veggies and  all are good, although I have been weary of putting cheese or roasted corn in my Asian food, but it may be great!! They offer some good Japanese beverages like Japanese Ramune soda and an interesting aloe drink that tastes like Kool aid with aloe chunks in it. They also just have a standard soda fountain with Pepsi or whatever.Now, I need to write an ode to one of their appetizers here that is TO DIE FOR....every time I have eaten here, I have had the crab rangoons. And, oh my good Lord, they are divine. I am forever on the look out for good crab rangoons, and these are by far my favorite of all time!! They are perfectly fried, not too thick, not too thin on the outside, crunchy as hell, and BURSTING with delicious crab and cream cheese filling. Most places just put a dot of cream cheese into a wrapper, but at Fusabowl, they actually fill their rangoons with a nice portion of crab and cream cheese. And the filling itself is so flavorful! Sometimes you have a crab rangoon and it tastes like flavorless cream cheese, but these taste like savory crab and cheese and even a hint of onion or some sort of seasoning! They are so good. Mmm!Aside from the rangoons, I would say they don't really have that much of a selection as far as creating your own meal goes. Their sushi and bowls tend to be a little boring and bland. I'd like to see some more veggies and sauces and different kinds of meat, cooked and seasoned differently.
