Small business owner has great charm and flexibility. Was able to order online, and the food was yummy! I said “mmmm” out loud when I took my first bite of the sweet potato fries. I think it was a good value, fresh ingredients, and the place had comfortable seating. I took one star off for the realities of small business: storefront visibility (I walked right past the place at first), online order not prepared at the time indicated (10 min wait), and the listed bun not being available (not a huge issue, sandwich was still delicious, but not what I ordered), and lack of environmentally friendly to-go packaging.These are acceptable/expected hazards of a small local fresh ingredient based business! Owner was knowledgeable and willing to answer questions about catering and dietary restrictions. Fresco Kitchen has been a blessing to our family. My 14 year old daughter was put on a very restrictive diet, and the thought of having to cook and keep up with all of the things she can’t eat, plus working full time and taking care of my other 3 children as well as all of the other house hold chores and errands was overwhelming. I sent Barbara a quick text and she responded in a few minutes. She said that she could cook for my daughter on her special AIP diet and that all I would have to do is pick up her meals twice a week. She did research and was very knowledgeable about the AIP diet. She began cooking us two weeks ago and my daughter has been tremendously enjoying her meals. Wonderful restaurant, and you MUST look into the meal plans! Perfect for anyone following a specific diet, or just wants a few nights off of cooking. Barbara has been a lifesaver for us now that the kids are out of the house, we still want to eat healthy but not have to cook often for just two people. What’s your signature dish?
Honey BBQ Salamon, A beautifully glazed wild caught salmon, over a bed of sautéed zucchini and quinoa scented with cilantro and lime. The dish is topped with fresh avocado
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
I like to meet with the client, find out all the details of the event, what their likes and dislikes are, and what they anticipate their guests would be happy with! We can customize a menu around those parameters
What do you love most about your job?
I love creating food for people and events, and take pleasure in sitting back and watching everyone enjoy themselves because the sense of community around the table wins out all the time!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I found early on, that I had a unique knack for creating dishes in a unique style, and decided that it’s better suited for me to work on my own and work with clients and design menus as customized as possible.
Why should our clients choose you?
Believe client to choose me because I do put an enormous amount of love in my cooking. It shows on the plate it shows on the pallet etc. Everything that I do every dish that I make, I am consistent and thoughtful and our assembly and ingredient incorporation.
