I'm a senior adult. Over the years, I have had several trainers, some came near to killing me. Hesitantly, I decided to give it another try. Due to several sports injuries, I was unable to walk or even swim without pain, therefore, I was very out of shape. Tyler was up to the challenge! He very patiently worked with me until my confidence grew. Within a few short weeks I was once again walking without pain! What a difference! I have no idea how he knew the type of exercises and level I needed, but he was spot on week after week! As I experienced the improvement, my motivation grew for health and wellness. He's absolutely the best fitness coach ever! More...

After getting out of shape and chronic injuries, they helped me regain fitness, lose weight and provided excellent feedback on my benchmarks along the way. The end result was completing my first IronMan in 5 years and being 18 pounds lighter. More...

I recently joined a women's workout group at Ethos Fitness and I couldn't be happier. Tyler, the owner, carefully assessed our strengths and weaknesses before creating fun, and dynamic workouts that were custom designed for us individually and our group. Tyler is truly a body nerd that is dedicated to learning all things body & movement. I love that I can trust Tyler to give me advice on how to not only increase my strength but also heal myself from previous injuries and bad habits. Thank you, Tyler! More...

Q&As

I Teach quality of movement prior to quantity of movement. I then help my clients establish a routine for themselves that incorporates exercises tailored to their goal pathway. This way, I am a river for individuals as opposed to a reservoir - ie people flow through and leave with an understanding of how to move as opposed to looking to me as the movement guru and feeling that they need my help. My goal is to teach and share the light.

It's no secret. It's consistently showing up over time for yourself. It's being pulled by the dream when it gets hard instead of going through the motions. Showing up and being your best. Working smart, which involves bringing on a subject matter expert, and working hard, which involves developing personal discipline and accountability to one's Self.

I get to be a part of people's transformations! I love getting people out of pain, helping them walk again, or being on the path with them to their first freestand handstand!

Fitness transformed my life.

I love offering that transformation to others.

I have a long term sustainability approach to fitness as opposed to short term hyper-gains that result in chronic injury. I niche in flexibility, yoga, bodyweight training and tension release therapy.

I have a personal training studio at my house that only sees people that I know.

Services

Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, therefore its not so much weight "loss" as it is weight recomposition. I teach my clients what the biggest levers are in weight loss and how to habitually pull them for sustained health and consistent results.

I'm inspired by the amount of people I've coached to touch their toes, get into a deep squat, regain shoulder and hip mobility, and so on. As a person who was a bodybuilder in the past and therefore extremely tight, I've taken the time to learn how to transform my mobility and have shared that with others. I'm looking forward to sharing with you as well.

Yin yoga is what I am presently passionate about. Yin comes from "daoyin", which means leading and guiding. Yin is a transformative practice that teaches the practitioner an alchemical framework with which one flows with life instead of against it. The practice is healing. I've learned from my teacher / sensei how to hold space in this environment and how to transmit the yin practice. Grateful to share.

Chi Kung is a Chinese word that means "Energy work, energy skill, or energy breathing". In practical scientific terms, it is Wolff's law of physics in biology - tissue remodels along consistent lines of stress. Using the Chi Kung stances and movements as inputs, one heals chronic pain patterns over time naturally. I'm trained in this and happy to share.

I have been practicing yoga for 13 years now and teaching for 9. The practice has transformed my life. I'm very well connected in this area and happy to both teach as well as refer out. Also, arm balances are my jam and I love sharing the accessibility with all body types.

I have been practicing several styles of martial arts over the years. Presently I restarted in a new style, Shaolin Kung Fu, for 1 year now. Prior to this I trained directly with the grandmaster of enshin karate and his sons / family for 5 years. Prior to that I started in taekwondo for 2 years. I have been given permission to begin teaching others and am happy to share with you if it's the right fit and your heart is in the right place.
