What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Knowing how to feel the moment coming, and being exactly where I should be when it happens. Understanding what an edited photo will look like, matted and framed, *before* I even take it.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is your vision for these photos? Do you have a plan for how you will use them? What are you hoping you'll remember when you look back through in ten years' time?
What do you love most about your job?
The entire artistic process of envisioning a session, meeting clients and spending a wonderful time together, retouching the images and seeing my clients' faces when they view their gallery for the first time!
What inspired you to start your own business?
My love for remembering my own life through photos of the beauty in everyday moments, and an urge to document things as they truly are.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
If needed, I wear an N-95 mask and am meticulously careful when around any immunocompromised person.
Family Photography
This is a 2 hour session in a natural space, with a mix of lifestyle and documentary photos. Watch as your children are encouraged to run, dance, play and be free to explore - don't worry, I will take breathtaking photos and you will have the time of your lives!
Newborn and Baby Photography
This is a 2 hour session in your home, focusing on the new baby, mother and family, using natural light and the features of your home. I provide a small selection of wraps and hats, but also encourage skin-to-skin and favorite blankets you're using at home. Don't worry about needing to stop to nurse, feed or change baby - I understand newborn life and will wait as long as I need to capture truly beautiful photos! You will walk away with both color and black-and-white memories of the tender, real and slow first days with your child.
Maternity Photography
A two-hour session in your home or a natural space or both, meant to capture the mystery, magic and anticipation of pregnancy, with a focus on your experience as a woman. You'll walk away with a mix of color and black-and-white memories of the final days before your baby arrives, and can expect gorgeous photos dripping with light and movement.
Birth Photography
My intention with my camera is that you feel seen. Much more than a collection of moments, photographs become part of a family’s historic archive. I have given birth to three children and this gives me an advantage of understanding the physiology of birth and navigating birth in hospital, home and birth center settings. Capturing the ceremony and rite of passage, that is birth, is an honor and privilege. As your personal biographer, I tell your story through my lens.
