Elaine did a great job on our fall family photos. She found areas around our house for beautiful photo backdrops that we would have never noticed. She indulged some silliness like my husband getting photographed with his car. She worked well with the 3 little ones which can be a challenge. The decision to use Elaine Lok as our photographer was one of the wisest choices we made in preparation for our wedding day.
Working with Elaine was a pleasure! Leading up to the event, she communicated with us to determine our needs and expectations; and when the day arrived, she simply put our plan into action.
When we received our photographs, we were astonished by many features. Most importantly, they were exquisite -- she captured the essence of our special day. Additionally, they were extremely personal. Elaine was able to see the beauty in things that would have gone unnoticed by anyone else (like my brand, new husband on his knees helping me tie the bustle on my dress, when we thought no one was looking). After viewing our pictures, many of our guests commented on the fact that they did not even notice that Elaine was photographing them. Looking through the pictures allowed us to experience the wedding all over again, from a different perspective. We saw the guests laughing, the children playing together, our family working tirelessly to attend to the details. We were unaware of these things during the excitement of the day, but were delighted to discover them through Elaine?s photographs.
Working with Elaine was completely effortless! Her professionalism and talent, combined with her kind and unassuming demeanor, make her an ideal choice for any couple on their wedding day!

Elaine was excellent with printing our invitations. Gococo printing was the way to go. The printing made our invitations very unique and we received nothing but great compliments on them. Her printing style was WAY cheaper than letterpress but still gave the rich feel to the invitations. She was very quick and had our invitations done on time. Thank You! More...

I can't really even find the words to describe how pleased I was with Elaine's work. The photos are just brilliant. I'm not really into formal shots but we had to do the obligatory ones for family and she made those quite painless and even fun. They are also beautiful. The candids though, are amazing.....OMG, what an eye for moments and details. There's a great shot of my dad tossing grapes into his mouth, gorgeous ones of little kids running around, guests doing a conga line down a flower-lined path. The photos are breathtaking, fun, textured, sassy. She captured great moments, which is exactly what I wanted. Looking at the photos is like reliving the wedding but also reliving it from others' points of views. If I could clone Elaine to do everyone's weddings, I would! More...

Elaine was fantstic. She gave us EXACTLY what we were looking for: candids, lots and lots of candids. I don't know ow she got some of these shots, but we are SO glad she did! She was invisible and everywhere at once. If you're looking for a photogapher to do the standard mom-and-dad-and-bride shots, she did great with those too, but we were amazed with, and most delighted with, her candids. AMAZING! More...

Both sessions yielded beautiful photos that include a great mixture of fine art and documentary style photography. Elaine is a great listener. I suggested to her to take shots of me without me knowing because I have a tendency to be unnatural in front of the camera. She took some amazing shots of me unnoticed and I love them! Alexis and Elaine took shots without us observing their movements. I especially like the pictures from the balcony looking down on the ceremony. These pictures are unique and beautiful. She truly has a gift for what she does.
