DCA is an incredible place. Our daughter has learned such a vast array of skills. Some of them are Kung Fu forms and many are the personal kind of skills that she will use for the rest of her life. She is more patient, observant, kind, confident, and calm. She started in kindergarten when she was having a tough time listening and focusing in class. Now, at the start of 2nd grade, she is a focused and confident girl with the biggest loving and supportive group of people behind her! The class and instructor are very refreshing! The workout can be intense at times but you are allowed to go at your own pace without feeling ashamed. Dragon Claw Academy has been an amazing experience for our family. I had very different goals in mind for my kids: one of them needed to boost confidence and one of them needed a focused physical activity for his body and mind. Both have shown improvement and have been successful at DCA. Shifu Aaron values the individuals in his classes AND the communal experience that classmates provide for one another. My 7 year old son has been going to DCA for 8 months now and it has been a great experience for him. Master Chen demands discipline, respect and hard work. However, unlike some other "big box" martial arts studios, Master Chen knows each of his students personally. His instruction takes into consideration individual strengths and weaknesses. When we were looking for an activity for my son who's autistic and has very limited range of likes. I searched and stmbled upon DCA. Aaron and Aby are simply amazing. I was holding my breath when he had his first class will he like it? Will he even pay attention Or maybe turn around and say lets go home. I watched him and I was shocked I even started to tear up.
