Over the last year, I’ve had nothing but issues receiving emails from zenfolio’s client contact page. When I email about it, there are excuses and customer service reps who clearly are being sarcastic in their tone while emailing me back - essentially blaming all the email providers. Meanwhile; I get emails from the very same emails if they do not use their contact form with no issue. I’m appalled that a business wouldn’t even try to fix the situation instead or passing the blame on, but rather speak to paying clients in a way that is not very becoming of any customer service rep. Sounds like then you need new IT guys, cuz that excuse is just incredulous. After my last email with CS, I think they need a few new reps there as well. More...

I have been using Zenfolio for 10 years and they gave 15 days notice before tacking on a .99 fee per order. I shoot high volume and this fee will add up to THOUSANDS of dollars per year in fees ON TOP of the 10% they take in sales and the yearly fee. It makes absolutley zero sense to stay with this service when I could go to literally any other gallery service and pay a slightly higher annual fee but not pay a percentage of my sales and not pay or pass on this fee to my clients. Yesterday I received an email from Zen folio,literally giving a 15 day notice on this increase in the middle of the busy school season after pre-order links have gone out. They did this because they know there’s nothing you can do in the middle of a season but pay the money. Absolutely outraged. I have asked to speak to a supervisor and they say it’ll be a five day wait. What exactly am I paying for? 10% goes to them already on top of my website fee and now they want another dollar per order. I understand inflation but you don’t give someone a 15 day notice especially AFTER renewed an agreement on fees. I have been a customer for over 10 years And have enjoyed the ease of features available And have overlooked the major flaws in customer service. I can’t overlook this any longer. You can’t speak to a live person without scheduling way in advance, if you do send a message for support it takes days if not weeks to get resolved, Now they unethically increase rates With no notice so there’s no way to adjust pricing on pre-orders that have already gone out for the season. Lured back in a few years later because of the bookme feature. . total bust, wouldn’t work for several of my clients that had preordered packages. Coupon codes I created wouldn’t work half the time.
