I found Donna Moss back in the days of the Yellow Pages and have been using her ever since. At first I needed help with furniture layout, fabric, rugs and window treatments.
That went so well we next did a family room, then kitchen.
Donna is wonderful to work with. She listens to what you want and then adds her expertise to take your home to the next level. I watch HGTV all the time, but I could never achieve by myself what Donna does.
I believed in her so much when I found the property of my dreams, I hired Donna and her contractor friend Steve Cavanaugh at Biltmore Construction, to design and build a completely new house. Donna took care of everything! For example, when 3 of the new 5 appliances came damaged she handled it. She thinks of everything down to the last detail. She comes over when I am at work to meet workers and deliveries. Over the years she has built trusted relationships with every kind of trade, so she knows who to go to for quality service.
Donna is always thinking about your project, even on her “time off.” That is just who she is. She goes the extra mile all the time, she even helped me put my bed together when I moved in.

D.M.I was hired based on my being aware of her exceptional work in the area. I was in need of help in refreshing my retail store of thirty years. Donna was very helpful in pulling together a masculine update to my menswear boutique. Together, we refreshed all the major surfaces in the store. She focused on the floors, walls, curtains, seating and lighting. The results far surpassed what I hoped for. She presented a plan that fit my budget and was sensitive to the hours of my store, which allowed me to conduct business without extensive interruptions while the work was in progress. Moving from a big house to a condominium could have been very stressful. Donna made it fun and easy. She reinvented some of my previously owned furniture and accessories, which made me so happy .
Her space planning ability allowed me to achieve a whole lot more then I thought was possible. I'm thrilled with the purchases I made through Donna and am so comfortable in my new home. Her contractors were great and easy to have around. They were as excited as I was implementing Donna's design.

What’s your interior design process?
Listening to the client explain what they want to accomplish and seeing the project comes first. Establishing a budget generally comes second. If a client needs direction in either of these areas, they can be provided. Many times looking through cultivated photographs of similar projects, can help narrow down the client"s taste and preferences. Experience with vastly different projects, an overall budget can be established knowing the client's limitations .
Moving on to the actual work, an overall concept is developed and space planning with floor plans are produced with possible furniture layouts. Once approved, whatever the client needs, i.e. perspectives, elevations, etc. are done along with selection of materials and actual furnishings. If a lighting and switching plan is needed, it will then be produced.
All along the way, the client is consulted and involved to produce a space they understand and in which they feel is right for them.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
I feel I can do any style the client wants. I have done almost every style, so I know where to go for most everything. From antique to avant guard, from traditional, transitional, to modern and contemporary, my library can accommodate.
What do you love most about your job?
The most rewarding aspect of what I do is to have others appreciate and enjoy the spaces they helped create.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked for a retail design and furnishing store in my early career and clients kept asking me to do things which I was not able to do while working there.
As more and more clients kept coming back to me to ask for services I couldn't provide through that organization, I decided it was time to branch out.
Why should our clients choose you?
My clients tell me what separates me from others in this discipline, is that I actually listen to them. Whether its about the color of the walls or their daughter's prom dress. I'm there for whatever they need. I pay attention to the smallest details because I know they support the successful completion of the bigger picture.
