What do you love most about your job?
What's not to love?! Every day is different. Every animal has its own unique personality. I'm consistently learning and discovering new tips and tricks. Above all else, my four legged friends remind me every day to smile, to be present, and to be grateful for all we have... which in their world usually means snackies...all the snackies...
Why should our clients choose you?
I eat, sleep and breathe dogs. When not caring for animals professionally, I can be found volunteering at the West LA shelter, or for Road Dogs and Rescue, or hanging with my own 2 dorks. I offer personalized service, tailored to the needs of you and your pet(s). Our focus is on creating a bond with your fur babies. Having their (and your) trust means that no matter what life may throw your way - from a late night at the office or an impromptu happy hour plan, to a much needed getaway or even emergency travel, you know your pet is not only well cared for, but also having a good time themselves.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
It's worth noting that I work alone and outside - it's only me and your pet(s).
Continue to follow indoor mask protocols.
If completing proper care for your pet(s) means fresh water, treat/snack, medication, etc. at the end of the walk, recyclable, disposable gloves are used.
Walks: 30/60 minutes
As a general rule I focus on exercise. Expelling a dogs energy helps keep them happy and content, which in turn makes life easier for the rest of their family. Whether its walking, running, sniffing, or mix thereof, I aim for returning the dog home satisfied... and on empty.
As the pawrent you will receive a map tracking where we traveled that day, some pics of our outing, and an update of the important details.
*Average 1 mile/per 30 minute walk. Age, health, demeanor and needs of a dog will help determine how to make the most of the allotted time, as well as time of day during summer months.
** Same day requests honored for an additional charge.
*** 24hr cancellation policy observed at the discretion of DogTales LA.
Sittings (your house):
Depending on the needs of your pet(s), sittings are 2-3 visits/day consisting of feeding, walks/potty breaks, and enrichment activities. I aim to get as close as possible to the their every day schedule.
With sittings you have the benefit of your furry loved one staying in the comfort of their own home with the relatively same schedule. You the pawrent receive daily updates and pictures, and are welcome to check in with me at any time throughout the day. I am happy to bring in mail, water plants, or any other reasonable requests at no extra charge.
**Please note for all sittings, pet(s) must be able to be left unattended for 5 hours. **
Boarding (my house):
Boarding a with me gives the opportunity for socialization with other easy going pet(s). I aim to make this a fun time for pups staying with me so that they feel fulfilled while pawrents are away. You the pawrent receive daily updates and pictures of our adventures, and are welcome to check in at any time.
Baths (includes pick up and drop off):
I offer bath service! Shampoo, conditioner, blow dry and brush out. Clean ears and nail trim, if necessary. I DO NOT offer hair cuts.
Vet Visits:
This service is only available to regular returning clients. I need to have some knowledge, history and bond with your pet in order to accompany them to their vet appointments. This can be a stressful outing for both the pet and the owner, depending on the circumstances.
