Dog's Best Friend - Santa Barbara

Britta has been a complete joy to work with these last 8 months! Our pup used to go to a boarding facility in LA when we were out of town, but we recently moved to Santa Barbara and couldn't find a facility we trusted. We decided it was time to have a more personalized experience for our dog when we are gone and that is how we found dogs best friend! The consultation was so easy and sold us on britta's services! I have been working with Britta since late February and honestly, I do not know what I would do without her.  I moved from Colorado to Santa Barbara on January 5th and by January 20th I was working a full-time (plus) job.  I think the adjustment has been pretty stressful for my dog, Bailey, who had gotten used to having free roam of a large house AND access to the backyard via doggy door.  Bailey is also fear-aggressive, something which leads me to be rather particular in choosing care takers for her.  Britta has been very professional and responsive from the beginning (having sensed my.... anxiety, and realizing the urgency of my situation, she called me right away after receiving my request for a quote via yelp.) She has always impressed me with her attentiveness to details and all the little ways she demonstrates how much she truly cares for my lil mutt!!!!  There are a couple of things that stand out to me that I LOVE..... she always takes time to send me an update of her visits, sometimes short, sometimes a little longer, sometimes even with pictures :) She lets me know if there were any issues and even if everything went totally smooth.  (A few days ago she even used my carpet shampooer to clean up a little surprise Bailey had left and included that in her update, letting me know not to be concerned about the wet carpet)she also always takes the extra time to chat with me about Bailey.  We usually chat about any issues I'm having with Bailey, (for example, I've been having some bark issues lately)  special visit instructions, or any other particulars, and she's always able to offer thoughtful advice/solutions/resources.  Since I am new to town, it is WONDERFUL to get recommendations for reliable, responsible dog related services (i.e., groomer, vet, trainer, etc) from someone with a similar mindset about caring for a pet.I'm certain that Bailey is benefiting from her visits and I know that it gives me peace of mind as well.  I've been recommending her services to friends and co-workers, but thought I ought to make an official yelp review to thank her!
