With so many horrible boarding places I got to where I did not even want to go on vacation for fear of my babies not being taken care of. I've seen absolutely disgusting, dirty kennels who are only interested in their income. Dog World is spotless and they treat the dogs like they are their own. They are very conscious of anything they would consider out of the ordinary and do whatever is necessary to take care of it. I would definitely recommend them to anyone for whatever their needs be it grooming, doggy daycare, boarding or training. They are the best!! More...

Dog world Sarasota is hands down the nicest place in the area. I take our family lab there several times a week for day care and she loves it. I left her there for the holiday weekend for the first time and the staff made a point to contact me and send me pictures to assure me she was happy and not missing me!!! From the moment you walk through the front door you & your dog feels welcome & love. My dog, Stella loves Dog World. She pushes or jumps over me to get out of the car quickly so she can start her day of fun. The place is very clean. Our 2 year old GSD has been going to Dog World Sarasota ever since she was old enough to go at approximately 12 weeks. She loves it, and treats it as her second home. Our 9 month old GSD, working line (extremely active!) also has been going since he was old enough, they both go three times a week, more often if our schedules dictate. It is deafening as we turn on to Blaikie Court, they know where they are going and run to the door to get in and start playing! I would highly recommend taking your furbaby to this establishment. The staff are extremely knowledgeable in the care of dogs and customers are treated as friends. The obedience training (I have taken both GSDs) is outstanding, Diane does a brilliant job with them as puppies and adult dogs. The socialization that is leaned from the younger dogs to the older dogs is beneficial for their own development as well as your dogs behavior around other dogs they will meet outside of this facility. I cannot recommend this highly enough. I look forward daily to seeing the photographs on Facebook. It truly has been beneficial for both our dogs and family. More...

First off and foremost I wanted to give major kudos to trainers DIANE COLES and LIZ MARTINEZ! I have been going to Dog World since my dogs have been puppies; DIANE started training my Malinois since he’s been 10 weeks old and likewise with my German Shepherd. I continued with boarding my German Shepherd with the help of Liz and can’t thank her and DIANE enough. My dogs down on command, sit, come to me when called and know their manners. Further as a surprise to me, both trainers called me and made a very pleasant Housecall to make sure the dogs were doing well——these ladies are simply the best!!!! Ammo and Tegan Love them and I will only entrust my dogs to their care! PS. The staff at Dog World from David on down to Kathy and even the lady who watched Tegan outside were top notch I.e. Diane is AMAZING. We have two 65+ pound dogs who needed some manners, especially pertaining to walking and politely greeting guests. We had exhausted ourselves with limited results and Diane had us in shape with two lessons. She is very knowledgeable and practical. I highly recommend her. More...

Dog World Sarasota is the absolute best! Let me start with saying that the place is so CLEAN! I doesn't smell like every other kennel or daycare I have been in and I have been in quite a few all over the US. They are more than happy to show you around (others aren't so much), you can tell the staff really takes pride in what they do. Next the staff Karen, Catherine, and Robin are so caring and helpful in every way.I have never felt so comfortable leaving my dogs anywhere.They offer doggie daycare and post the most amazing pictures of the dogs playing. They all seem to be having the best time you can see that they are happy to be there and that the staff is really interacting with the dogs. My dogs come home tired which is the point. Dog Training! Trainers all I can say is they are Awesome (my personal opinion)! I have also met several people with dogs who have been trained here and they have raved about Diane and Rhea! Grooming, groomer is just Fantastic! Personally only used her for nail trim but again met several people who have dogs that need more services from her and all agree she is great and very gentle. Boarding again I have never felt more comfortable leaving my dogs anywhere else. The kennel the dogs sleep in are huge! My dogs are happy to go they get super excited when they realize where we are going. I am so happy that I found this hidden treasures. My fickle with strangers, highly active, demanding, and full of himself Rottweiler absolutely LOVES Dog World and the staff. He goes for daycare and comes home tired, mission accomplished! Jackson's favorite part is the wading pool and waterfall! I love how they post photos once a day on Facebook to show how much fun he is having. They really build a relationship with your dog and are knowledgeable enough to handle some more difficult dogs. More...

You love your dog? Want them to have some fun, be social, and be tired at the end of the day? Well me too. I was referred to SDW by a neighbor who knew we needed help. My 6mth old (rescue) Malinois pup would bark and growl at any dog or person who came into view. What I didn’t know was that this was out of fear. When I showed up at SDW to meet Diane she immediately knew what was happening and how to fix it. Everyone at SDW worked with my dog to get her socialized and showed her that no one or no dog was going to hurt her. Today at 15 months old my dog plays all day out in the yard and loves all the staff as much as they love her.I am a member of a search and rescue group and my dog and I are nationally certified in Tracking. We've been taking our goldendoodle (Rufus) to Dog World Sarasota for the last year for daycare a few times a week and have also boarded him several times. I should mention that Rufus LOVES going to daycare - his ears perk up each morning he hears that he gets to come. We started Rufus here at daycare as a way to socialize him as a puppy, and he now loves playing with dogs of all sizes. One of the best and most unique aspects of DWS is that they have a POOL!!! I can't even begin to explain how much Rufus loves the pool - we've been told that he pretty much spends the first several hours of each day in and out - it makes for one happy dood.We have never met more caring and loving staff than at Dog World and we have no problems at all leaving him there for the day or the weekend. We feel so blessed to have found Dog World. We have been going there for almost a year now. We still remember our dogs first day of daycare. We thought it was special they stayed with him and kept us updated throughout the day. It is a place our dog can go for socialization, training, and to burn some extra puppy energy. They respect behaviors we are trying to work on at home with our dog (like jumping up on people/or waiting) and work on them too. We also love that he has become familiar with the staff, and we can board him here knowing they love him as their own. This is most comforting because we have no family in town - it's our second home for him. He is welcomed with open arms in the morning and would go everyday if he could! We can always count on Dog World to take extra good care of him - this last time they finished giving him medication for us. Our dog has had some trouble with separation from us and they go the extra mile to make him comfortable in his crate at night with his bedding from home. We love seeing photos of him on the yard and hearing about his days. We would not be able to take any vacations without Dog World. I just wanted to thank you for taking such good care of Reagan! She just loves to come there and loves all of the "teachers" at daycare too! She's always smiling when I pick her up and falls promptly asleep because she's so worn out. It's such a good option for her and I when I have a busy work day where she won't get a ton of attention or when I'm not feeling the best and can't give her all the lovins she deserves! My dog Absolutley loves Dog World of Sarasota and I have been taking her there since they opened and I have never had a problem with the staff as my schedule is crazy and they are always accommodating and very pleasant. The facility is very clean and my dog loves swimming in there pool and I don't have to worry about her playing in the dirt as they have K-9 grass in there facility. My large rescued pit bull was dog aggressive and people aggressive. We took her to Dog World for their 3 week accelerated training program. Diane and David saw her behavior as more fearful than what we thought was aggressive. After being trained by Diane and David, she was confident, happy, and knows what is expected of her. She is able to be in day care with all the other dogs and plays well with others. We can take her to the parks and she is calm and behaved. Diane had to train me, the human, and that was his real challenge. But, we both graduated the program with flying colors. She now has a good temperament and understands the basic commands to keep her safe and make life pleasant for her. All of the staff took great care of her while she stayed during training and now I can leave her for boarding and not worry about her. She enjoys it. Thank you Dog World for everything! More...
