I happened to be in Twin Falls on business and was looking for a place to have an early dinner.  A local told me about Depot Grill and that it was their 100th anniversary so they had some great prices to celebrate. I arrived around 4pm and there was no booth seating, so I sat at the counter.  I was greeted immediately.  The tabletopper with the anniversary special was right in front of me, so I went with it - $1.72 cheeseburger and fries?  Sign. Me. Up!The burger and fries were pretty good.  This is one of those "greasy spoon" 24-hour diners, so you kind of know what to expect.  The actual patty was a little overcooked, and the fixins for it were under it which duh, I didn't even know until I was already into it. The fries are the winner here.  They have that greasy crunchy outside and that soft potato inside.  They were quite good, and there were plenty of them.  And a container of fry sauce is there next to the ketchup and mustard - yay!For 10-cents I was able to get a slice of chocolate cream pie.  It was a piece of pie, not an entire slice, but it was the 10-cent promo, so I'm not complaining at all.  It was delicious.  The chocolate had a different texture than normal chocolate cream pies do.  Sometimes they are more jiggly and pudding-ey.  This one was more firm.  Not too firm, just more firm than I think of with chocolate cream pie.  But it was really really good.  The whipped cream was creamy and abundant with a few chocolate chips on top.I did not review the menu while I was there, but checking their website it looks like the burger and fries I had would be $5.99 not on special - and I would be OK with that price.  And $2.25 for the chocolate cream pie - I would GLADLY pay that price for this deliciousness.Sitting at the counter, I noticed the servers and their demeanors and the way they greet and treat customers.  It was fantastic.  And my server was great too.  They were fast, they were nice, and chatty enough for the pace they were keeping, and all working together.  It appeared that they really enjoyed their jobs. I would definitely come back here ... even if it wasn't at anniversary prices. ;) More...
