What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to taking a great photograph is composition. Looking for something special in the composition and conveying that in your image. Working with the client to create an image that exceeds their expectations!
In portrait, wedding, maternity, children and family photography, DCP works with the subject to transfer their essence and the importance of the moment to the image we are capturing. Whatever the moment the client wishes to capture, DCP works to make sure that moment is as perfectly reflected in the image as possible! DCP uses a mobile studio with lighting and backdrops to ensure that every image is perfect.
In residential and commercial real estate photography, DCP maximizes a properties best feature to ensure that the home or business shines! We look for the best angles to highlight the best features of the home or business property. We utilize post processing to highlight the best qualities of the images, but at the same time keep the true nature of the original image!
DCP utilizes lighting, setting and background to create the perfect image to highlight a client’s product. We can photograph products, food and firearms. We can photograph indoors or outdoors.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I would like to get to know my subject. I would ask them where they are from and what are the images we are going to take going to be used for?
Are you using these photographs for an adoption profile or a keepsake of a vacation? Are they going to print images or digital images for digital picture frames, computers and websites?
I would ask the client to tell me about what they want to see in their photographs. Do you want casual or formal photographs? Where would you like to be photographed?
What do you love most about your job?
I love the creating. I love working with the creative aspects of photography and an images ability to convey so much information.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love working with the client to help them record these special moments in their life. I want them to look back years from now and remember the moments of their special event.
I love creating and using the medium of photography to create a piece of personal art for my clients. And I special love when they are completely satisfied with their images, and the experience they had capturing these special moments.
