What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to a good photograph is two part; great lighting, and putting people at ease. The most fundamental art of photography is the dynamic and shape of the lighting in the scene; the mood it sets, the highlights and shadows, it all boils down to this system of painting with photons. Second, but equally important, is shooting someone who is feeling comfortable and confident. I put a lot of work into making sure someone feels at ease; everything from bringing water and music, to taking the time to get to know the person as we go through the shoot. Each session is a personalized experience, and I try to make each persons unique personality shine through on every photoshoot I take.
