We hired D &H to complete a major bathroom remodel and are extremely pleased with results. Owner Mike, guided us throughout the project from start to finish. He offered us valuable advice on choosing our fixtures, tiles, and vanity. His carpenters were outstanding, always on time, polite, professional, and offered great advice as well. D & H has proven that it stands behind its workmanship by returning and repairing minor problems that arose from extreme weather conditions this past winter. D & H Construction just completed a total revamp of our 1972 bathroom. Mike gave us a detailed quote and promised to have the shower operational within 2 weeks (this was important as it is our only full bathroom). He did it!! He also did everything that he promised on time and within budget Mike's employees and sub contractors were all very professional, showed up as promised and did a terrific job. Specifically Mike's employee (the other Mike) was amazing. His tile work (and there was lots of it) was incredible and he built a beautiful custom closet for us. He is incredibly talented, detail oriented, very neat, unobtrusive and most importantly he was great with the dog. Mike is such a nice guy that we were sorry when the job was done. We miss you Mike!! We had D&H vinyl side our house. We were so impressed with Mike and his knowledge of siding. They ripped off all the masonite siding on the house and put up the vinyl. The house looks brand new. Bobby and his crew were fantastic and very accommodating with all our requests. The crew went above and beyond to make sure everything on the house was perfect. We couldn't be happier! We recently had our second project completed by D &H Construction which was a beautiful new deck. We quickly chose D& H for this project based on our past experience with them installing our new front steps. The second project was a much bigger project but based on the workmanship and quality of our fist project, we didn t hesitate to call D&H. They are a pleasure to work with from beginning to end with no deatail overlooked. We thought the project was done and looked great only to find workers back at our house days later making adjustments to the deck based on D&H ‘s high quality standards. We recently had a new roof put onto our house. Because we had used D&H Construction for a previous job (a new composite deck), we had asked them to quote on the roofing job as well as several other local contractors. While their bid was not the lowest, they we certainly competitive; and since we were very pleased with the quality and care that we experienced on the previous job, we selected D&H for the roofing job. And again, they provided the high-quality workmanship that I was looking for and had expected. As with any construction job, D&H ran into a couple of problems. But the owner was on-site to review the problems, explain the remediation that would be needed, and came through to complete the job on-time and within budget; no additional charges were incurred, even for the remediation aspects of the job. They were also great at the clean-up part of the job, making sure that all debris was removed and that no nails were left on the driveway or patio that could have caused injury. The D&H owner was great to work with; I would highly recommend him and his crew for any home improvement job you have. More...

When looking for contractors to side our home, we selected D&H Construction over other companies. We are so glad we did because not only were they the mid-priced option (always select that one), their detailed bid including every step possible from materials, to installation, clean up  of premises and removal of debris.  They removed existing cheap planks, insulated and applied cedar impression shingles, beautiful shutters and molding for the windows. We wanted a stone-look chimney instead of siding. Mike found a company in NY that made a faux stone that met our needs.  His crew was professional, friendly, conscientious and completed the entire job in less than 10 days from start to finish. They both were so considerate of us because we were without a kitchen for a few months. D and H did the construction and Design 1 did the plan and we got all materials through Design1. Mike and his crew did a fine job installing 23 new Harvey windows in our home. Some carpentry was required to replace 4 double casement windows with 3 traditional over/under windows, and install a new bathroom window where there was no window before. D & H Construction just made a beautiful large, custom closet in our 2nd floor master bedroom. I never had construction done that was so clean. Each day they guys swept up in the house and outside where they were doing the sawing. They also were very aware and careful with my small dog, making sure she didn't run out the door while they were shelping things up and down the stairs. The workers were always on time and VERY polite. I especially loved how they saved and re-purposed the intricate Greek revival woodwork/trim back into the design of the close and the adjoining new linen closet.Great experience, and wonderful results. Over the past ten years I have been fortunate to have hired D & H Construction for numerous home renovations. The work they completed included installing vinyl siding and Harvey replacement windows, finding the right attic vents to keep Rocky the Flying squirrel out of my house, and, in December 2013, they finished a complete condo renovation that included a new kitchen, bathroom and flooring. Michael and his crews are great to work with. Everyone is professional, experienced, considerate, and they leave the work area clean when they leave for the day. Have done business with D&H Construction for many years.  We've replaced all our windows, including a large bay window, added a new maintenance-free deck, replaced a staircase, new exterior and interior doors.  We have been extremely satisfied with all of our improvements and wouldn't trust our home to any other company.  Michael, Gwen and Justin are true professionals in every sense of the word.I would be remiss if I did not comment on the review by Patti S.  This positively HAS to be a case of mistaken identity or POSSIBLY someone attempting to discredit this company for unknown reasons.  D&H Construction has exclusively taken care of our home for many years and the quality of each job, large or small, has been superior in every way.  I wish I could provide photographs of my beautiful bay window, gorgeous new interior staircase that was a challenge to design and implement, etc.  I have recommended D&H Construction to friends who chose them for their renovations with equally happy results.This Company is honest to a fault, pleasant to work with, all jobs performed on time and on budget.  Recommend them highly!
