6 years of practice and still my favorite. The teachers have the knowledge and skill to help you gain strength, balance and a strong core while always watching your form, keeping you safe from injury. Love love the lunchtime group class - affordable Pilates on beautiful equipment in a beautiful space. More...

Came here to post physical therapy to work on my muscle imbalance. Crescent City is one of the few Pilates studios that have Core Align classes that helps me work on my alignment & muscle strengthening at the same time. Lori adapts the exercises to fit everyone's needs & maximum size is 3 per class.  I have had privates from the other instructors & found them also to be very helpful & informative. More...

I was in NOLA for a conference and needed to get in a pilates session so that my chronic back problem wouldn't bother me.  I was lucky to have a hotel within walking distance, and an open time in my conference that would allow me to get to the 1230 mixed methods class with Amy .  I felt right at home with two other participants.  Amy watched our techniques on the reformer and mat, and made corrections when needed.  It was just what I needed!  It is a lovely 2nd story studio with big windows that overlook an interesting neighborhood -- if I come back, I will return!  Thank you! Amy is a fantastic instructor, and I absolutely loved the group reformer class! The studio is beautiful, and the equipment is situated nicely so as to minimize distractions. I will definitely be back!

I have been meaning to post a review - I travel a good deal and look for a Studio in every town I work in.  Crescent City Pilates is the best Pilates Studio I have ever practiced in.  Lori is by far the best teacher/coach, and I do not say that lightly.   She pushes/encourages me enough to go past my own idea of what my limitations are to discover it wasn't a limitation at all.  As for the space and the machines - impeccably cared for.  The space is bright and inviting.  All the teachers are lovely and kind and funny and and and ... I've never seen so many men in a Pilates Studio - which I think is a testament of their strength as a Studio that men feel comfortable to be there. (I rarely see men in Pilates Studios).  I can not thank Lori enough for the hours we spent together - gently showing me how to trust my body - and the joy she brought to our sessions and infused in me.  I am really going to miss this routine. I've been here twice with different teachers and both times were great. The space is beautiful and peaceful. Teachers focus on correct form and are encouraging but challenging. Equipment is in great shape. I walk out feeling great. More...

Did biweekly sessions at CCP while living temporarily in NOLA for 4 months. I worked with Amy who is amazing. The studio is in a really neat space, just north of Lee Circle, with large windows and a nice view of the CBD. The equipment is top of the line, clean, and well maintained. There are rarely more than 2 or 3 instructors at a time working with clients, so you never have to wait for equipment. They incorporate not only the reformer, but the barrel, chair, Cadillac, and some pieces I was unfamiliar with, one which I named the Jack LaLane.I had done some Pilates privates before, and about 1 year of group reformer classes, so I consider myself intermediate level. Amy spent a lot of time our first session getting to know me and my body...several sports injuries and a somewhat recent c-section. From there she put together challenging and fun sessions that were really targeted to my needs. She had me doing things I did not know I could do, and helped me get a bikini worthy body back.I also got my husband see her the last two months we were in NOLA. Right away I noticed his posture improve, which years of my nagging were unable to accomplish.I left NOLA two weeks ago, and the thing I miss most, besides shrimp and grits, is Amy and Crescent City Pilates. Beautiful space with excellent instructors ( of which I am one so this review may be biased :) ). Group class size is small max of four people but still reasonably priced. Mat classes of max 8 people with lots of private and duets available. More...
