My husband and we're having some challenges with our communication (which is ironic since we coach this stuff for a living) and it was creating a huge block in our relationship. We were 7 years into our relationship (married for 3 years) and expecting a child so we REALLY needed a tune up. We searched online for someone who was not in our community (for privacy reasons) and we found Craig! We saw him weekly for a couple months and it was the best decision we'd made as a couple in a long time!!We dove all the way in and he coached us from an unbiased place. We both felt heard and listened to. We both got the support we needed to get on the other side of what was standing in our way of being in the same page. We're now about to bring our baby into the world and our home is a loving, warm, connected, and beautiful environment. I have no doubt that our son will reap the benefits of our choice to solve our challenges under Craig's guidance!I highly recommend his coaching and I've worked with A LOT of coaches. He really knows his stuff!!! More...

My husband and I first began seeing Craig three years ago - a year into marriage.  I almost wish we had found him earlier so he could have gotten to know us as a dating couple, but regardless of when we started seeing Craig, one thing is for certain - marriage counseling or couples therapy is good for the relationship regardless of if there are any obvious issues or not.  To be honest, I was initially skeptical about therapy, but I can't say enough about having a neutral third party to help navigate relationship hiccups that isn't part of family or friends.  I had never been to couple's counseling prior to meeting with Craig, so inevitably the nerves were there from not knowing what to expect. Our introduction to Craig was awesome.  He took the time to get to know us both individually and hear our story and background.  He's got a pretty soothing presence and a great office space that immediately puts you at ease.  He has an uncanny ability to provide a safe space and empathize while holding a neutral stance.  The more we saw Craig the more comfortable we became, and he's helped us get closer as a couple.  Even when we felt like our relationship was at its strongest, Craig had exercises that built on our already strengthened relationship that helped us look toward the future.  I remember specifically him asking my husband and I to perform an exercise that combined both our goals/hopes for what we see in the future to see where we aligned and where we were different.  It's something we use even to this day in keeping our relationship moving forward.  We still see Craig regularly even if it's just to check in.  Good for the soul and good for our marriage.  I couldn't recommend a better therapist. We now have concrete tools and practices that we're using to help us connect and communicate better, so that we have more joy, fun and intimacy in our relationship. My wife and I recently participated in The Mindful Couple workshop with Craig and his wife Debbie. We were not sure what to expect and went in with no expectations. We have been married for five years and have a 2 and 4 year old. It has been hard for my wife and I to feel connected and heard. Craig and Debbie put on a fantastic workshop. We feel they gave us the tools to listen each other more deeply, connect on a deeper level and develop an understanding of where each other is coming from when we feel triggered. We feel they gave us life changing advice and practices to help not only our marriage but also all of the relationships in our life. Craig and Debbie are so genuine and give you the space to work out any issues. We are so blessed to be able to find such an impactful duo. Highly recommended. More...

My wife and I went through a very stressful few months while remodeling our home, which really put a strain on our relationship. While we made it through, we wanted to repair some of the damage that occurred, and be better prepared to handle a similar situation in the future. Craig was exactly what we needed. He didn't bring us in to argue and fight in front of him. Instead he taught us some useful exercises to improve our listening and communication skills, and offered meaningful insight into our differences as individuals. His calming demeanor and understanding brought a level of comfort to our sessions. We are very grateful that we found Craig, and plan to see him at least once a year for a check up. Highly recommended! More...

Having good tools to work with can make a difference. I found that it was good to take some time to fine tune our communication. Even though we have had many bumps in the journey and have been very successful at navigating through it I like having some more tools in the tool box. I also liked the fact that there were many opportunities to practice while in class so if you had a question about the application we got help on the spot. There was good information which can help any couple have a smoother relationship. More...

If you are looking to enhance your relationship this is a very good workshop to take.  Getting married or being in a committed relationship prior to marriage takes effort on both sides. Having the right tools and knowing many of the right questions to ask yourself and that special person you are with can make a huge difference.  I enjoyed the fact that this was certainly a hands on on workshop so you will have ample opportunity to try out the techniques recommended and you can get help right on the spot. Very good tools to learn. More...

I  have taken a great many workshops in the past but I truly think the one offered by Craig used such an innovative approach and contained such a meaningful agenda that we left feeling like our toolbox was brimming full for any couple conflicts. In fact (and this is saying a lot based on my two failed marriages!) if I had known about what I learned in this class when i was younger, I seriously doubt we would ever have gotten divorced. But the course entailed much more than just preventative strategies.  There were all sorts of ways that we learned to enhance our relationship even if we never have any trouble brewing.  A big bonus for us - - We were chosen as a couple to demonstrate a dialogue about a real resentment in front of the class and WOW, did it ever change the way I will look at any future discussions. The connections to my past and what gets triggered inside of me (subconsciously) was a tremendous Aha moment.  I can't say enough about all that we learned with Craig's Couples workshop! More...

I wasn't sure about therapy, but all the relationship tools & insights Craig provides makes communication and respecting each other's boundaries so much easier. I know now we'll have the nurturing, fun marriage we envision!  I'm incredibly relieved that we took the plunge to learn how to fight without hurting each other, how to view each other's differences with wonder and curiosity rather than resentment, how to talk about money & sex. Craig got us to open up and have very real, genuine conversations that actually drew us closer. At this point, I refuse to give my blessing to any new marriage unless they get premarital counseling or marriage education first, preferably through Craig Lambert Couples Therapy. Now I can see, too, that so many of my friends never would have gotten divorced if they'd just learned these amazing insights to marriage. More...

Craig's approach is gentle, honest, and deep. His goal, as I've gotten to know him as a therapist and individual over two years, is to always be curious about others' motivations, non-judgmental, and to see that which is perfect in each of us. This overarching, ego-free style permeates all interactions, and helps us as couples operate at OUR most full potential when with him. My guy and I wanted a laid back and casual couples retreat where we would learn concrete techniques to effective communication and sharing our love.  We were elated to find Craig Lambert's Valentines Day Couple Workshop!  The title was "The Mindful Couples" and we both really connected through Mindfulness in our previous studies so we were really excited to work together on the special day of Valentines Day.  We had to miss the first night of the weekend because we were driving into town from up north.  The day started off with some light yoga and a continental breakfast.  A great start to a great day!  We really enjoyed learning from the other couples in the workshop who all seemed to have similar "themes" of desired improvement within the couple.  We laughed, we cried, we shared, we connected, we were Mindful.  There were a few exercises each couple worked through together during the day including frustration dialogue, appreciated dialogue, and our favorite, creating our Partnership Vision.   Both me and my man found the processes very easy to follow and the booklets provided aided along the way in our journey.  We have already used the worksheets multiple times since to work through our daily life discussions.  It's great!!  One thing we both found interesting and very comforting was that no matter the age range of the couples in the workshop or our specific stories of children in the partnership, years of marriage, dynamic of household, or employment structure, we all had a common purpose of betterment.  Self Improvement and strength of partnership.  A very inspiring day full of love and open communication!
