Q&As

In my first session with a client I like to introduce my place (when we meet at my gym) and talk about their goals, if they have any injuries that I should know about, their concerns and struggles up to this point, and our expectations of each other. Then, depending on their physical level, I like to do a short assestment to get an idea of our starting point and this helps me to create a personalized program. Then after, I like to talk a little bit more to see how we feel moving forward and go over my recommendations and the best plan of attack for them to reach their goals.

There’s no magic pill...it is consistency and putting the work...the rest is consequence.

Empowering people. I feel proud of all of the people I could help but my biggest achievement was with my client Rick (today also my friend). When I met him he was 400lbs and super sad. I approached him in the gym when he was stretching and I had to say something. I helped him with a small adjustment on his stretch. After, we exchanged info and he came to my gym and we started weight loss mission before his wedding. Not only with fitness, but he also got into jiu jitsu which gave him more confidence and a community which he could count on. Four months later, Rick lost 60lbs after his lifestyle change. I'm happy to know that I helped/guide him to improve the quality of his life.

I grew up as a little bit chubby and I always wanted to be stronger and feel empowered. When I was 15 years old, I began lifting weights and I fell in love with the process and the changes in my body, strength, and mindset. I began bodybuilding as a lifestyle but I always felt being strong wasn't enough. I started to train jiu jitsu a couple years later. Fitness and martial arts are my passions today and I have found a way to combine them to help improve and empower other's lifes.

Our job as a coach is to give directions. The most important factor of the outcome is the changes you make inside yourself. I can hold your hand and walk with you but I cannot do the work for you. If you're going to do it, go all the way. Otherwise, wait to start it until you can commit to yourself.
