Dr. Sarah F. Taylor PhD, is a Nurse Practitioner, and is dual certified in general medicine and psychiatric mental health care. She graduated from the University of Texas with honors. Dr. Taylor PhD, specializes in diagnosing and treating mental health problems and general medical conditions. She treats all ages and also provides medication management services. She has both inpatient and outpatient experiences in treating acute/ chronic mental health conditions, and medical conditions for the past 8 years. She is instrumental in demonstrating that proper medication management in mental health conditions can prevent relapses in psychiatric patients. Her area of specialty includes treating patients suffering from Addiction, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Insomnia and several other mental health conditions. Her other areas of interest includes: Weight loss management, hormonal disorders, male and female sexual health, Acne treatment, HIV treatment, and treatment of other infectious diseases.
Psychotherapy
Therapy is focused on the needs of the client, with an approach that helps to embrace change. Every interaction with the client comes from a place of care, compassion, and respect. Trust will be the basis of our relationship. In our sessions, we will use a combination of motivational interviewing, cognitive based therapy, and solution focused therapy. Additionally, I approach every client using a trauma informed point of view. As we work together, we will use your strengths to work towards the identified goals. Your individual needs will determine our path.
