Our house had plenty of wallpaper, needed a new patio cover, new windows, the bathrooms updated and something done with the original dropped ceiling in the kitchen. Fred came and walked through every project with us. His knowledge of construction and ideas for our update were exciting. Coastline DC surpassed all expectations! The above work was completed at the agreed upon cost and within 3 weeks of the start of construction! The crew was polite and professional. Fred is a man with strong personal and professional integrity. Fred was here every day overseeing the quality and precision of the work. The house is beautiful! I have worked with Coastline DC for 10 years.  I would not trust any construction or remodeling work to anyone else.  First of all, the owner, Fred T. , is the most ethical GC I have ever met.  He does excellent work at a fair price.  Coastline DC has done cosmetic work on a house I owned for 20 years that I sold.  I also hired Coastline DC to do a total rebuild of  a house in Burbank (Fred turned a 750 square foot house built in 1938 into a 1500 square foot dream house).  Fred T. is on the cutting edge of what is going on in home building and remodeling, he has good taste and made good suggestions with the rebuild.  Coastline DC is first-rate and I recommend the company without reservation. We were very pleased with how fast we where able to set up an appointment for a home renovation consultation. When we tell people we had a contractor who completed the major house remodel on time and on budget, they do not believe us! The communication was fast and consistent. Amazing company to work with, from design, planning, permitting, zoning, construction and execution. I randomly found Coastline through an online search. I had met with 7 other contractors who all claimed to offer all inclusive services, but Coastline was the only company to show up with their engineer, mill work/specialty design head, project coordinator and head of construction at our initial meeting. They were incredibly responsive, and anytime they were met with a challenge, the response was always, "don't worry. We'll handle it." And they did... Again and again. We just purchased a house in Ventura. After moving into our home, we became overwhelmed with all the repairs needed to be done. We could not figure out how to do the upgrades we desired and stay within our budget. We met with a few contractors, and with no hesitations we chose Fred, from Coastline Construction. Fred took the time to walk through the house with us. He checked and identified all the repairs needed to be done, and really paid attention to our upgrade wishes. He created a construction plan with everything on our wish list, which amazingly met our budget. We remodeled one of our bathrooms, the kitchen, and painted the house inside and out. Repairs were done on our plumbing and roof. The construction went smoothly, and met the scheduled time we were given. The workers were very professional, and the house was left clean. I have known Mr. Tahar for more than five years. The first job he did for me was to repair and upgrade a 2000 square foot home for rental. That involved redoing the patio, freshening up the interior (painting and installing a garden window in the kitchen) and other repairs throughout the house. He was professional and, above all, honest!! He is knowledgeable about what needs to be done and how to do it efficiently. He finished the job as soon as possible and at a fair price. He is not the cheapest but you can be assured that the work will be completed in a workmanlike manner. He does a good job, he is dependable and he is trustworthy, which I cannot say for 95% of contractors I have met. Mr. Tahar is now preparing the same house for sale. He repaired a damaged area of hardwood flooring so that it looks like the original and he did it in one day! He also made suggestions about how to make the house look appealing to buyers, upgrades that are inexpensive but look expensive. Mr. Tahar is first-rate and I recommend him highly. More...

Coastline did great work on a very difficult ocean front job. They had to repair foundations while considering ocean tides, tight spaces with restricted accesses and accommodations. Fred at Coastline design and construction has done several jobs for me and my family and we were very pleased with his work. He replaced a rotting deck, repaired the support beams on another deck, and replaced a very old fence for us. We talk to a lot of contractors before we chose Fred. It turned out to be the best decision we made during our renovation phase. We used him for 2 projects, a kitchen and a bathroom project.

Fred also has a really good design sense. Like with any renovation, we discovered unexpected limitations that forced us to change plans and Fred always had good suggestions.
Fred came over and was very confident in what needed to be done. We could tell immediately that Fred was very different from every other contractor we had ever worked with and found him to be very trustworthy and honest from the beginning to end of the project.
The kitchen and bathrooms came out amazing!! We are very happy with Fred's work and his creative suggestions along the way!
