Q&As

If I have to choose a single dish it would have to be my Braised Gochujang Ribs. They are cured, braised, then finished on a grill or fried. It is a labor of love that blends American and Korean cuisine. It is something familiar but also has a distinction of its own. It was one of the best selling items at one of the venues I worked at in Union Square, NYC. I also love a good sandwich. Don't underestimate a quality well constructed and balanced sandwich!! It can have everything you need in a meal!?

It's not just about understanding the clients needs and preferences but also having a realistic grasp of what is able to be successfully executed. For example, if the client wishes for a steak dinner, but there is no grill or functioning stovetop on site, then being able to cook a steak properly would be challenging and some other options would have to be considered. If I were to just agree and attempt to deliver whatever the client wanted but didn't take into consideration quality and standards, then the final product would be subpar which in turn result in an unfavorable experience for all parties involved.

I absolutely love everything food. The cooking, ingredients, techniques, etc. are all amazing aspects that drew me into the profession. But it is the aspect of creativity, community, and sharing that made me fall in love with cooking. Food is such a unique and powerful medium. On one hand it is a very basic fundamental necessity for life and survival. On another hand it can be exhibited and practiced as an art or science where chefs and cooks can develop it into their own with infinite interpretations. And at the end of it all, it brings people together to share a creation that can be enjoyed by all. Food enables community, community creates sharing, sharing brings forth relationships, and relationships are absolutely essential to our lives. This is the true nature and power of food and why I became a chef.

Just to be able to have more control of my day to day life and how I would want my food to be shared and represented. Covid was also a huge determining factor that gave me incredible perspective into our industry and it's sustainability.

I have a wide-range of experience and skillset that enables me to deliver a top quality service and product. I am completely transparent and communicate openly about realistic expectations and the ability to meet them or even go beyond. In business, especially something that can be very personal as food, sometimes the process is more meaningful than the actual product. Any experienced chef worth their salt can put together a delicious meal, but it's the continued desire to work with that person again that can make all the difference.

Unless it is online cooking lessons, then no. It is the nature of the service.

At request, I can wear a mask and provide full vaccination proof. I take pride in my organization and cleanliness while working.

If you are interested in an experienced chef to come into your home to help curate an unforgettable customized dining experience for a special occasion or even for just a change of pace this is for you.

I will work with you directly to create the best menu to ensure a successful dining experience for you and your guests. I can be very flexible when creating personalized menus or even specific dishes. Whether it's a super casual brunch with friends, romantic couples dinner date, some simple sandwiches by the pool, or anything in between I got you covered. Depending on the type of event, menu, party size, and of course your preference; you can choose the format: whether it be family style, buffet, plated, and/or coursed.

And at the end of, hopefully, an incredible meal, we will make sure to leave the kitchen and all used tools and equipment just as they were found, if not cleaner.

If what you are looking for is a casual, nothing fancy, but still utterly delicious meal to be simply dropped off, this might be the best bet for you. I will work with you personally to ensure your choice of foods will will travel well and of course still be delicious and of top quality upon delivery.

We can provide drop-off service for immediate ready-to-eat or to-be-served-later format. If desiring to-be-served-later I will provide simple detailed instructions if necessary. Whether in large family style vessels or individual meals.

Everything will be served in disposable containers for easy cleanup. Disposable plates, utensils, napkins, etc. can be provided upon request.

If your'e in need of a professional chef to help you prepare meals for the week or maybe just the next day or two I can be that person! If you have any dietary requests or restrictions, no problem!

Once we have those dishes finalized I'll go procure all the ingredients and items that you might not have, at the local store of your choice, and make sure we are all ready to go.

I will work with you to prepare the best dishes, and of course, make it as simple as possible to put those meals together in no time. Whether you want to see me in action and show you some tips in your own kitchen, or I can prepare everything on my own and simply drop it off at the time of your request - it's totally up to you.

If you are desiring to learn some skills and tips and want to improve on your cooking skills while having some fun than I can be your guy! And by the end you'll have a delicious meal that you will be able to recreate on your own.

Being a professional chef I have years of experience teaching new cooks in our restaurants. As I became a personal chef I also shared with people in their homes as I prepared their meals, especially baking with kids, and even have done some online group instruction as well.

Many of the things I am able to share are techniques and tips that just can't be learned through books or videos. They are things learned through real-world experience and live guidance.
