An absolute must for any Charleston visit. The tour guide was entertaining but filled with genuine facts and stories about many of the pirates of the "golden age. " The pace was not rapid and he took many opportunities to let the group sit and listen, the route took us along so many of the beautiful homes and buildings and churches of downtown and the time flew by as you were enthralled with the tales of Pirate captains such as Chalres Vane and Blackbeard. I did this tour with my family last Sunday. It was amazing!! We learned so much and were thoroughly entertained. We had an awesome time. Eric did a great job taking us back in time making us feel that we were actually living back in the early 1700s in the pirate era. Two hours never went so fast. Eric was extremely knowledgeable and had great insight. Due to his enthusiasm we have taken a strong interest in Pirates and ended up buying the books he suggested. I did the Children’s Treasure Hunt with my 7 and 4 year old daughters. They had the best time! They loved the concept, had a blast dressing up like pirates and joining Captain Sabrina’s crew, and my 7 year old even learned a bit about Charleston history along the way. The hunt lasts about an hour, is a great activity for 4-7 year old kids, and was entertaining for me and the other mom in my group. More...

I thoroughly enjoyed the Pirate Tour as did my two nephews (ages 4 and 7). Captain Sabrina was excellent and not only kept the kids engaged and in line, but also had some tidbits for the adults. As a local who grew up in Charleston, I was pleasantly surprised to walk away with historical tidbits I never knew. We took my three little grandsons on the pirates treasure hunt. The six and four year olds loved it so much that they talked about it for days. The two year old enjoyed running around the park, so we felt that it was a great experience. My only qualm was that each adult was charged $12, which we felt was a little steep, considering that we were there just to supervise our little guys. I booked the Children’s Treasure Hunt tour for my 3 year old twins birthday party after original plans fell through. Sabrina was very accommodating with less than 10 days notice. She even arranged for my girl twin to get a mermaid rather than a parrott balloon animal like everyone else- this was a huge hit as everyone wanted the beautiful mermaid then! Sabrina was very understanding and helpful with my group! The birthday party kept growing in size and with parents lingering and babies running in and out of the tour she was professional all the way. I would highly recommend using Charleston Pirate tours for children 3 years and up and the history made it amazing for older children and adults! I can’t say enough good things. My boys (5 & 6) had a blast on Sabrina's treasure hunt tour this past week! They loved searching around the park and running off to the next clue! Charleston Pirate Tours was the highlight of our trip! Our oldest daughter (age 13) showed up dressed as a pirate (corset and all) and asked a lot of questions. Eric answered them all and then some. I've been to Charleston many times and had no idea about the rich piracy history. Now I do! If you have older and younger kids, divide and conquer. Send kids under age 10 Sabrina's way for the 1 hour tour and kids over 10 Eric's way for the 2 hour walking tour. The timing works out perfectly . Never have we felt so immersed in history, let alone have I ever experienced storytelling quite like Eric's! I surprised my husband with this last weekend because we plan on seeing Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales this weekend, and I wanted to theme our first vacation together. There is nothing that could have made it more memorable for us! While it was hot (as SC always is) and I had a rough time with my own health issues, that did not stop our enjoyment of the tour. We are really glad to have booked with you, and thankful that you took all the time you did in answering all the questions and quips from us. I brought a four different groups of my employees out on the Charleston Pirate Tours, and I have to say our experience was incredible!
