This review is super late, but last year in January for my best friend’s birthday we had some of Chef Chara’s amazing food. Every single dish was bussin, or delicious lol. Literally not one dish disappointed. We had food items from her breakfast menu, as well as empanadas, fried chicken, and multitude of other delectable dishes. She truly outdid herself. You can really tell just how much Chef Chara loves her craft of cooking and how skilled she is when you eat her food. Cheryl is that absolute best! I had her come and cook for about 10 people and she crushed it. We had her make a large variety of food but the fried chicken, cornbread, and banana pudding were the best I’ve ever had. Never had just a take out meal so I cant comment but my family did do catering and one star is to high for the quality and taste of this food. Any soul food person who cooks would be embarrassed. Literally did not like any of the items not ONE thing tasted good and it was not a small or cheap order at all, I was so excited when I found this spot and read the menu was planning on catering Christmas after I did the thanksgiving but was highly disappointed. I added a cake for like 30-50 bucks don't remember exact it was worse then a box cake inedible. Spent about a thousand dollars did not even refrigerate all that was left just dumped it. SOOOOO disappointed. Anyone with recommendation on a good soul food to cater from would love a message from you. Thanks More...

No way these 5 star reviews are true food was so bad and not cheap. I LOVE food don't mind paying top dollar I am not cheap when it comes to good food. I'm reading all the reviews and feel like they're either fake or I'm on another planet. I was never so disappointed in my catering order of over 1000.00 dollars in my life. The food was uneatable and I'm not lying. Please before you go spend your hard earned money message me I will gladly talk to you I felt robbed small amounts of food tasted terrible threw out almost all of it and I'm not a wealthy person at all.. I felt ripped off...I truly thought I'd get pretty good home made soul food and I truly got pans of food that I literally could not eat . If your thinking of catering try small plates first before doing a big order like I did the pictures on the web look nothing like what I got . I know I said this in my last review but I threw out the whole pan of Mac and cheese it tasted like straight up cream cheese if you can screw up a Mac and cheese it's bad ...I had to rewrite this cause there is no way on earth that all the 5 stars are true unless only my stuff got messed up . Our children surprised us with the gift of having Chara’s kitchen(Cheryl) prepare a meal in our home for our 40th wedding anniversary. Everything was absolutely exquisite. The five-course meal that was prepared fresh for us was beyond our expectations. The presentation of each course was simply beautiful. Every last morsel was delicious! Pick up or Drop off Catering
You can place your order and we can have it delivered or you can pick up on location.
Set Up/Clean Up
We set up all rentals: tables and buffets, assemble chaffing dishes, decorate. And break down everything at the end of the event.
Grill/BBQ Chef
I offer onsite bbq services! I come into your home and take care of all your grilling needs, while you enjoy your guests. Servers are available also.
I can provides a full package including the food or you can purchase the food and have myself there to cook.
