What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Capturing emotions and getting a great connection with your images! Knowing your camera and lighting extensively. Being a person who loves to work with people and can help people relax behind the camera.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What are you planning to use the images for? Do you have specific ideas of what you are looking for? Do you have a location in mind? Do you need hair and makeup done for you? Do you need help with clothing ideas? What is most important to you when you hire me? How did you find me? Do you have any questions for me as your photographer? Did you look at my website? What do you like best in images you have seen?
What do you love most about your job?
I absolutely love working with people. I love getting to be creative and to have fun coming up with new ideas for my clients. I love that photography is challenging and I am continually learning new things. I love seeing my clients faces when they get to see the images we captured for the first time. I love that most of my clients are referred, which means they loved what I do and wanted to pass it forward. It is so awesome to think that the images I capture in a moment of time become lifelong pieces that are treasured a lifetime.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I took time away from being a medical professional to raise my 3 kids at home while they were little. 7 years as a stay at home mom, I really was yearning to get back into photography and to make a business of my own. I wanted to do something I am so passionate at, yet have the flexibility to still not miss out on my kid's activities. Photography is inspiring to me! I love the continual challenge it gives me to learn new things, stretch my creative skills and to take on new challenges. I love getting to work for myself!

I am excellent at what I do. I take my time and am meticulous about getting the images I want to capture for my clients. I am honest about what I can or cannot do. I am educated on my camera, my lighting and have worked with bands, company headshots, personal headshots, high school seniors, families, couples, children, babies, and newborns. I fully customize my sessions to the individual needs of each client. I work hard and do my best with each person I work with.
