Celena Rubin is a hair and makeup artist and a photographer. Her background is working with celebrities in Los Angeles where she grew up. She is the owner of The Art of Makeup School in Lake Oswego where she has been teaching makeup artistry in the studio classroom and doing photography in the in house photography studio for the last 11 years, documenting makeup looks for student portfolios.

Lighting, a great lens, and a great photographer!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What will you be using these pictures for? How do you want to come across? Do you want to come across, serious, playful, professional, whimsical, sexy, conservative or something else? Do you want studio lighting, natural lighting or both?
What do you love most about your job?
I love making people feel and look beautiful, comfortable and confident, whether I'm applying makeup on them or taking their photos or both!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love the creative freedom of expressing myself, meeting interesting people, and having a flexible schedule
Why should our clients choose you?
I am easy to be comfortable around, so people can reveal their true selves in a way they want to present themselves, and feel good and confident about how they look in person or photograph.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I'm happy to wear a mask while working if a customer would like me to. I usually wear one applying makeup anyway.

I offer headshot, modeling and portrait photography in a studio or outdoors with natural lighting. I can also provide professional makeup and hair for photo shoots done by me or other events or shoots with other photographers.
