Casey is a great dog trainer! Starts with the basics and works up from there giving the tools needed to train a dog to behave. I had out of control Australian shepherds and they have changed so much since starting training with Casey. If you have been thinking about getting a dog trainer this is your sign to take the leap! You won’t regret it. I get so many compliments on how my dogs behave now and it feels great that my dogs and I have the confidence we need! Thanks Casey! More...

We wanted to give our dog proper training to have the best quality of life possible. We heard many good things about this facility. After talking with Casey & setting up drop off/pick up appointments, Bentley did the Stay & Learn program for three weeks. We picked our sweet boy up today and heading home with him. He is even following the commands in the car. The staff at Casey Ray’s STL Dog Trainers is nothing short of amazing! My husband and I rescued two of the most unmanageable dogs I’ve ever had from a horrible situation in January. The male, Buddy 50 lbs, had just been recently neutered, suffered from several medical issues, extreme separation anxiety, his car sickness is the worst I’ve ever seen, he was a runner, unruly and stubborn as hell. He walked on our coffee table, the back of our couch and our kitchen counters (all FOUR FEET). Now that’s a bit shocking to see! Gracie, younger 40 lbs, is full of energy, smart as a whip, jumps all over everyone and loves to stomp in mud puddles. I’ve had dozens of dogs, mostly rescues. Never two this uncontrollable. We entered them into Casey Ray’s “Stay and Learn” package. They went to their facility for 5 days and 4 nights and came home for the weekend. We did the Stay and Learn for 2 weeks. The difference was frankly shocking. Our lives are back to being our own. Thank God!!!! We went to both Kennelwood and Casey Ray’s and my husband and I both came out with the same feeling. Casey Ray’s was a much better fit for what we wanted and how we wanted them trained. They use a very light “no” and had to train me to say it lighter. The dogs were easier to train than my husband and I were. They are truly amazing. More...

I got a brand new puppy and wanted to be sure to get him off on the right foot. He started with puppy preschool with Casey which was HUGE for him. He's a bit of a nervous/shy dog so learning a ton of new things early on was so important. He then went into stay and learn training and picked up on commands so quickly. I've been pretty dedicated to taking him to group classes once a week and just this last week I started working off leash with him. OFF LEASH with an 8 MONTH OLD PUP! I’ve worked with Casey Ray trainers at various times over the last 4 1/2 years. Two of my personal dogs, both rescues, went through their Stay and Learn program and they later passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. One of my dogs was particularly skittish about new places so the trainers worked with her for multiple half day sessions to get her used to the environment and training basics before her full 10 day training. I was so appreciative that they went the extra mile for her! Since then I’ve taken multiple foster dogs to them, including one pup who was incredibly reactive and as a result was having a hard time getting adopted. I’ve worked with multiple trainers at Casey Ray’s and appreciate that they work with each dog based on individual needs. I’ve recommended Casey Ray’s to multiple friends, family, and co-workers and all have had great results. Most importantly the trainers helped me personally so that I could reinforce all that the pups learned. If my pups are acting up or not listening it’s usually because I’m slacking on training and reinforcement. I’m so grateful for the Casey Ray trainers and highly recommend them. More...

As an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue, SGSDR has counted on Casey Ray's to help with many of our more challenging dogs for more than five years now. Many of us on the board, the leadership team, and among our growing list of volunteers and adopters are also past clients. We value our longstanding professional relationship with Casey, Shelly, and the entire training staff. When we need something more, or something different, for any given dog, our requests are always met with an attitude of helpful teamwork. It has been this honest, open, working relationship that has allowed us both to help MANY German Shepherd Dogs who needed a second (or third or fourth) chance at becoming a happy, balanced member of a committed adoptive family. We regret that a volunteer foster has shared a negative review while fostering one of our program dogs. While entitled to her opinion, it does not reflect that of the rescue and its leadership team. We took our GSD mix puppy to Casey Ray's in July for her basic training. The "Place" command was a game changer from day one—she quickly caught on (after just one session) and it made so many things we do every day (prepare food, answer the door, etc. ) 100% better! She learned many other things during her basic training that helped to turn her into a fantastic pet! (She's nearly a year old now and we get many compliments on her behavior.) We have continued with the lifetime sessions (once a week) and it's always a lot of fun. I cannot say enough great things about Casey Ray's STL dog training! My husband and I have a 2.5 year old lab mix and almost 1 year old Shepard/husky mix. We sought out training because our dogs would pull us around the block during walks or into the vet for visits (to the point one of us could not walk both) and jump up on guest and were very excited when they came into our home. When we showed up for our consultation at the Ballwin location, one of our dogs broke free of her collar and ran back outside as we were walking in while the other one pulled us down the steps and jumped up on everyone or everything he could get his paws on. We knew we needed helped. We signed up for the lifetime group classes and it was one of the best decisions we've ever made. After just one week of learning the place command, we could already see positive changes in our dogs. We had guest over and they held their place command until we freed them. Every week just got better from there with the help of Erin, one of the awesome trainers we had the pleasure of working with week after week. She is caring and really understands how each dog learns best, which helped us become better owners. Walks are now enjoyable and we only need one of us to walk them. We have now successfully completed the foundation lessons and started group training. 7 weeks later, we now have two really great dogs that we can confidently take anywhere due to our training at Casey Ray's. As a customer I really appreciate that by purchasing the Foundations package I am not getting a set number of lessons. Each plan is unique to your needs. I love everything about Casey Ray's. My puppy Tilly enjoyed her time in the Day Trains program and loves to attend the group classes. Tilly got to work with multiple trainers who respectfully and patiently put up with my constant flow of questions and inquiries. They always had answers and went out of their way to combat our puppy's' food aggression.

We went to the Ballwin location. It is easy to get to and conveniently located in the basement of our Vet office (who refereed us to Casey). The basement has plenty of space, is fun, and provides character (lets remember, we are there for dog training not a first date). The staff keeps the area clean and sanitary at all times, even with the barrage of activity they constantly work to manage.

Everyone you meet from the staff is incredibly friendly. Casey and Shelly are great owners and clearly have a passion for their business and their clients relationship's with their animals. Steve, Chade, and Amy, were the folks that worked most closely with Tilly, from what I understand. When they offer advice, listen... They are all knowledgeable and truly care about what they do. Awesome people and always professional. They bond with your dog and take pride in the evident results.

I give them all the credit for Tilly's good manners. Take your dog to Casey Ray's and invest in a better life with your dog. It will be worth it and you will have a ton of fun.

I have absolutely nothing but praise for the Casey Ray's Columbia, IL location! I strongly recommend this company. My partner and I started bringing our husky pup to this location when he was 9 weeks old. The trainers have been nothing short of amazing when it came to training Diego. They offer a lifetime package (which is unbeatable!) for around $800 which includes unlimited classes for the entire lifetime of the dog! You'd spend close to $500 on 18 classes from Petsmart! Why not go an extra $300 and have UNLIMITED CLASSES for the ENTIRE LIFETIME OF THE DOG! This value seriously cannot be beat! They even give you the option of allowing you split the payment into two smaller payments to make it easier. We take Diego to classes at minimum once a week (sometimes even twice) depending on what's being offered. The company also offers a free consultation to go over their business and what your goals are with your dogs. I highly recommend at least taking this offer and seeing what the company is all about.Diego had learned all of his basic commands through private lessons by the time he was 4 months old (roughly in an 8 week time period). Leah and Dave, who are both trainers at this location, have been more than helpful when I have had a concern with Diego! Any time I have had a question, both are quick to help me out. Diego is now 6 months old and I get continuous complements about Diego's behavior when I take him to dog parks, malls, parks, etc. People cannot believe how well trained he is and I don't hesitate to tell them where we take him. Another great thing about this company is that they make the training and classes fun! I have never had a class where I wasn't laughing and having a good time while accomplishing training. They offer classes at two other locations, both at Ballwin, MO and Wildwood, MO. I've had the pleasure of meeting a few of the other trainers (including Casey Ray himself) and every one of them are nice, helpful and professional in how they've greeted us.Once again, I absolutely cannot say enough how grateful I am with Leah, Dave, and Casey Ray's for the training, professionalism and overall experience we've had thus far. 5 stars for you!
