What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I love getting to know my clients, engaging them and making them feel comfortable and then occasionally stepping away to let moments happen while I compose them against a landscape. For me, photography is as much about storytelling, composition, and documentary.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Is there one picture you've always dreamed of having taken? What does it look like?
What do you love most about your job?
I love the variety of people that I get to meet and work with.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was a backcountry snowboarder in Alaska. My friends were better than me, so I picked up a camera and started documenting what they were doing. I was hooked.
