Chelsea has been our trusted trainer, dog behavior expert, and friend since we adopted our first rescue dog almost 7 years ago. Her positive training methods have helped us build deep bonds with our dogs. No shock collars, no punishments................our dogs adore her, and they cannot wait to practice training exercises with us! Because of Chelsea's instruction, we are able to volunteer at assisted livings, nursing homes, and classrooms. The dogs are confident, friendly, and obedient. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for training, boarding, petsitting, and behavioral analysis. More...

We have two dogs with behavioral issues, and had a bad experience boarding them at a facility near where we live. We were worried that we wouldn't be able to travel anymore, but thankfully we found Chelsea and Canine Connection! She has been able to give us peace of mind when we travel, and our boys trust her. In fact, we value her skills and expertise with our dogs so much that we are willing to travel an hour to her location to drop them off every time we take a trip out of town! Her rates are fair and she is extremely flexible with her time. We are very grateful to have discovered her, and highly recommend her services! More...

I absolutely love Canine Connection! I’ve been taking my dog, Luna, here for training ever since she was 10 weeks old, and I am so pleased with how she has progressed. Luna is now a little over 2 years old and has all of her basic commands down. She continues to learn weekly as she is apart of the day training program once a week while I’m at work. Chelsea is the best and I don’t trust anyone else to train my dog! She also does dog sitting when i go on vacations which is very convenient because my dog is familiar with her, giving me one less thing to worry about. More...

Look no further. You have found the best, most capable, caring trainer and pet sitter! We have 6 dogs. And 2 of which are puppies. Chelsea was referred to me by a mutual friend and I am so beyond happy we chose her! She is unbelievably caring and all of my babies LOVE her!! She trained all of our babies and my husband and I! Our foxhound Cooper was as hyper as they come and wanted no part in any kind of obedience. Chelsea has him now to sitting in his “ place” and comes when called even at a park with lots of other distractions. With 6 dogs things can get chaotic at times. But, thanks to Chelsea’s in depth training and exercises, we now have the confidence to work positivity through the chaos and get everyone back on track. We also have Chelsea babysit very frequently, she even has her own key to my house! You can’t get that kind of trust with everyone. We can't say enough good things about Canine Connection!! If you want the utmost professionalism and effectiveness, trustworthy, most caring ,loving and patient trainer/sitter then look no further. Truly the best! Thanks Chelsea!! More...

We adopted our Shiba Inu from a rescue the beginning of June 2018 and he came with many challenges that included being very reactive to other dogs, showing signs of fear and anxiety towards people, very limited socialization, leash walking issues, etc. and we knew he really needed a range of training and behavior modification. Chelsea of Canine Connection came highly recommended and she has given us hope through all her dedication, focus and attention to providing the tools our Shiba needed to become more socialized, confident and friendly. Chelsea is highly skilled, professional, reliable, and genuinely cares of the bond we are building with Tai through her relentless training efforts. It’s so rewarding to see the progress Tai has made over the last several months and we are so grateful we found Chelsea! More...

I cannot tell you how many times Chelsea has saved me in a last minute situation. I have called Chelsea with literally minutes notice and she has been able to help us. Not only has Chelsea provided the education and guidance that allowed us to keep our rescued large Great Dane by caring for him and training us how to deal with a poor rescued animal but she has literally saved this dogs life by working with him on dealing with "humans" especially small humans. We have left Chelsea in charge of our home and our babies for literally Weeks at a time while we travel. Chelsea is always my go to every thing! She even came over and "baby" sat so the cable guy could come inside while the dog was here! When we were out of the country and someone was house sitting she was the ONLY person who could get the cat off the roof and when she was called she literally came straight over to help our friend who was house sitting/living here at the time. Chelsea is ALWAYS the Answer for us, No matter the question! Our lives would be very different without Chelsea in it. This is the honest truth. Chelsea handles our 170lb Great Dane with ease, love and compassion for animals. We and our "fur babies" LOVE our Chelsea!! More...

Chelsea is an extremely dedicated animal caretaker. She helped me train and care for my beloved four legged son Bandit. I am devastated that I had to move back to Massachusetts because I know I'll never find a dog sitter as dedicated as Chelsea.

When my pup was 8 weeks old I hired Chelsea to dog sit while I was away at work and when i had to go on a week long business vacation. I had an in home camera system set up and though I only paid her to come over twice per day during my vacation, I constantly saw that she made a habit of coming over at least 3 times a day and never charged me for the extra visits.

When my vacation extended by a day, Chelsea even slept at my house to be there for my pup until I was able to return home the following morning. I was so impressed by her care that I also enrolled in 2 of her classes before I had to move back to Massachusetts, her training allowed me to have a very well adjusted puppy and I absolutely recommend her to anyone lucky enough to still be in her area of Florida.

Chelsea is the most dedicated, talented, gifted, patient, and loving animal trainer. I am so very blessed to have found her when I needed someone to train my new puppy to become a service dog. Through Chelsea's positive reinforcement methods and her years of expertise, my shiba inu Chiyo has become the most wonderful fully task trained service animal. She even trained him to do my laundry and empty the dishwasher! Working with Chelsea has been a completely life saving experience for my disability, and together we have created an incredible service dog in Chiyo in just a few short months. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer, for any and every level! More...

We used Chelsea for training our female Great Pyrenees (a very stubborn, independent and headstrong breed). Under Chelsea’s direction, Belle progressed through multiple training levels to achieve her Canine Good Citizenship certification and is working towards her certification as a therapy dog.

We have been extremely pleased at the results of Chelsea’s training because she not only trains the dog, but she educates the owners as well. By providing us the education, guidelines and her most valuable experience, Chelsea’s training has equipped us with the essential tools and confidence which assists us with the continuing development of our dog as well as our newest Great Pyrenees puppy.

We have also participated in organized puppy socializing events and the care and dedication Chelsea shows all dogs and their owners is remarkable. We have recommended and will continue to recommend Chelsea for training.

While we have not required Chelsea’s dog sitting services, we have no reservations about leveraging this quality and dependable resource should the need arise.

We've been fostering dogs for quite some time. Occasionally we run into difficult training/behavior situations with our fosters, beyond crate training and the basics, that I'm not qualified to address. Anyone can train a Labrador Retriever, that comes from a good breeder, to "sit"... but when you're dealing with a dog with an uncertain background/breed... it sometimes takes someone with advanced canine behavior/training knowledge. For us, that is where Canine Connections comes in! We've been working with Chelsea for years for both training and pet sitting. She helped us through basic training hiccups with several foster's, and helped me train one of our "foster fails" (a dog we adopted) all the way through CGC training (George is absolutely the best trained dog I've every had). But the reason why I'm here to write a review is to talk about our other dog... Max and his journey. When we rescued him as a puppy, he was so feral and hostile towards children that I didn't want him in my home. He was so aggressive, that he would attack the bars of his crate if we walked too closely near it. He was in bad shape and had obviously been beaten and worse... branded with a hot iron. His jaw and front paw are both crooked from poorly healed breaks. I was convinced he was un-adoptable, the first time in my life I was willing to give up on a dog. Even our vet pulled me aside to tell me firmly, that the aggression this dog was displaying was NOT normal puppy aggression and we had a real problem on our hands. She thought, based on his injuries and the brand, that he might have been a bait dog. It was my daughter who begged me to call Chelsea to see if there was anything that we could do to help him so he wouldn't be put down. Chelsea met with him and said she could help him, so I promised my daughter we would give him two weeks to show some improvement. Chelsea began the painfully slow process of understanding where we could touch him that wouldn't set him off, how to approach him so we wouldn't frighten him and taught my daughter how to hand feed him so every piece of food came from her hand. She had me play certain sounds in the house and reward him if he ignored it (he was so easily set off, that he would attack the TV viciously if a dog came up on the screen). She socialized him with her own pack of dogs (even though Max had a disturbing habit of picking up her Chihuahua puppy and carrying him around like a purse). I was very impressed with her ability to observe him interact with other dogs and with my family and know exactly what to do, step by step... and also to let us know... all his bravado was just smoke and mirrors. After all his snarling and growling, she pointed out, he's never bit anyone. All the aggression he displays has worked for him so far to stop people from hurting him. It was fear, not aggression. That piece of information was key for me. I was able to relax and help him along his path to recovery. Now, years later, we have a dog who wags his tail constantly, worships my daughter, walks around confidently in public and throws himself on our feet with his belly exposed and tail wagging furiously to get belly rubs. This morning was the first time he ever yodeled in pleasure at my daughter wrestling on the floor with him. It was the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I'm at a loss for words regarding the transformation. He sleeps at the foot of her bed every night and my daughter will grow up with the knowledge that she "saved" him because she wouldn't give up on him and "made" me call Chelsea (she reminds me of this constantly!). Thank you Chelsea for all that you have done and continue to do for our pack!! More...
