Canalside Buffalo

First time at a CanalSide Concert. Opening act had to cancel. CanalSide didn't HAVE to do anything for us, but we received free passes to a future event. KWS sound was awesome. Still had that inside bar band feel while having room to roam around by the waterfront. This is exactly what I wanted for a downtown concert. Thanks for putting on a good show. More...

I love what they’ve done with canalside and I would give it five stars, however, they turned us away for the fireworks display over my backpack. Due to parking my fiancé and my daughter took the bus down there. It was my nine month olds first firework display and I offered to let them check my backpack but was still told it was not allowed. I explained my little girl had heart surgery when she was six weeks old and we were looking forward to her seeing the display because we are so grateful she survived and could experience this and if we had to bus back home to get rid of my back pack then try to drive back and try to find parking anywhere close we would miss the fireworks for our daughter to see. I was still told no my family was not allowed due to my backpack. Plus Russel J. Salvatore who paid for the fireworks display would of been disappointed to hear they were treating a little baby this way when he does so much for people. I understand why these rules are in place but my child still had to breathe in the marijuana that was circulating in the air there. But my backpack was such a threat? I saw people with those lawn chairs that have those long covers on them, booze or drugs can easily be hid in the middle of that and those were not checked. Also, bikers are not allowed backpacks or water if they bike to a live event. So us bikers can’t go down there unless we want to bring nothing with us and bikes have to be left outside the “secured perimeter” Yeah, I feel safe even locked leaving my 500.00 bike outside an event hundreds of people are going to. Some of these security protocols need to be re-evaluated. Thankfully the Merriot hotel was kind enough to take my backpack as a one time courtesy for my little girls sake. More...

Went while on vacation from Virginia to Niagara Falls we rented the paddle boats went to see all the ships and had lunch at the Liberty Hound which was delicious got to sit outside on the patio and watch all the boats come in and out was beautiful.

I'm still amazed that I'm still in Buffalo every time I go to Canalside- it's a great spot with good restaurants, a nice boardwalk, ice cream stand/ bar, live music, food trucks, etc. Great for people watching.

VIP tix are great! First time we had them was for Zappa does Zappa. Food and drink was a little more plentiful than last night but good. I was disappointed that Beth Hart wasn’t there but no fault of Canalside. Kudos to them for getting Tommy Z to fill in on such short notice. They did not disappoint. Kenny Wayne was awesome. Parking at Key Center $3 & got out after the show without a problem. Good Time! More...
