I was concerned at the amount of time I was leaving my dog at home in a kennel. She loves other pups at the dog park and has lots of energy. I had heard mixed reviews and decided to find out for myself what they were all about. We had an interview day that went extremely well everyone was super nice and really loved my dog and they seemed super excited to have her there. It's been a month or so and yeah they are super pricy but totally 110% worth it. Every morning I bring her they know who she is I see her well taken care of on camera and at pick up and drop off. Even off the clock if an employee is there has stopped to say hello to her. I love how excited they get her to play. By the end of the week (Friday) she is totally exhausted and every morning she sits by the door excited and ready for camp. My friends like to pick on me saying I take my kid to school every morning except it's a dog. They aren't wrong she has her first day of camp picture her backpack if she does boarding and baths and they even do cuddle buddy for boarding stays and leave the cutest notes of how she was and acted. ANDD...to top it all off they even have special events for holidays like her Easter egg hunt!!! What can I say she is so spoiled and boujee! Just glad she can get her energy out and I don't have to worry through out the day or feel guilty for having to leave her so long. Camp bow wow is the best!! I just love it and so does my dog! Took my dog to camp and boarded only for him to get kennel cough. I called to tell them and the girl didn't even care or ask a question. I heard a dog coughing on my way out and did t even think that's what he had. The employees are supposedly trained. So if they hear a dog coughing they should send them home are separate. Please if your dog is coughing keep it home. And yes my dog had his shots. More...

Staff are professional and friendly. They really do care about the overall health of the dogs. After my dogs initial interview, they wanted her to come again for another trial day. My dog had spent the day sitting in a corner and not interacting. They stated the room was pretty packed due to a holiday weekend and wanted to be sure my dog was comfortable and happy. They also caught that my dog was more comfortable with female staff(I already knew this but nice to know how observant they are). I guess they want your dog to have a "wow" time at Camp Bow Wow haha. On our second visit, where my dog must have realized I would come back and she wasn't being dumped(rescue dog), she had a great time. I could watch her mingle and play on their cameras. Great to get her more socialization. The informational folder they give you is also nice so you don't have to look things up, such as pricing. They have a good system. Thanks Bow Wow!! More...

We recently had to board our dogs for an extended stay-several weeks. This is the longest they would ever be boarded. I admit, I was a little nervous but I knew they were in the best hands. Camp Bow Wow did not disappoint! They were AMAZING! I got pictures and text messages with updates sent to my phone. I even went to visit them during the half way point...thinking that it would be hard to leave them. Um, not for them...when the door opened, they were like BYE! Mom see ya we are having too much fun. I mean the care was absolutely excellent. And ????may be coincidence...but they are even more well behaved since their stay????. I absolutely recommend camp bow wow! They are above and beyond and take the stress completely off of your shoulders knowing your dogs are having an awesome time and being so well cared for. ???????????????????????? More...

I love Camp Bow Wow and so does my puppy dog Bear! I was really hesitant and anxious about Bear being around strangers since he does show some signs of aggression when I’m around. But he has really taken a liking to the camp counselors! Really hoping this great business will expand in the future, hopefully closer to home. Right now it’s a 45 minute drive, (depending on traffic), back and forth from Plaquemine. But since Bear is happy so is his momma! More...

Had one training session with a trainer from this camp bow wow location and wasted about $200. The trainer told me to smack, yell at, and overall just hurt my 4 month old puppy when she made accidents on the floor. He didn't even want to see her when he walked into my apartment either--so we never even really knew where to go with training her. The only good thing he told me was to get her to "focus"... that's really it.

A friend of mine boarded her big dog here too, and he got kennel cough from it--but the workers never told her about it, probably because they didn't want to be held liable for vet expenses. She also saw two dogs bleeding when she picked up her dog there, because they got in a fight and the workers were on their phones when they should have been watching. More...

We have been clients of CBW Baton Rouge for a year now. We started with just one dog, Zeus (Catahoula Mix). We added Flynn (Tricolor corgi) in September and as of this week, we have Bernie (Sable corgi, Flynn's mom). CBW has always welcomed our dogs with open arms. They even remember Zeus & Flynn when it has been a little bit since they have been last. Thank you for always taking great care of our babies and making sure that they are comfortable in their surroundings especially our skittish one (Zeus). We appreciate all of you <3 More...

Update: The manager contacted me and was very nice. She listened to my story and apologized for what happened. I’m super thankful that they took the time to contact me and hope this does not occur again. We were very excited to leave our dog here for their day camp. I called earlier in the week to make sure I had filled the paperwork out correctly and all her vaccinations were up to date. I was ASSURED everything was correct, I made sure to explain that we live an hour away from the location and we could not bring our dog home until after we got off work. I was told that everything was in line and they made the appointment. When we arrived at 7am we were RUDELY welcomed by someone at the front desk. She could not find the appointment that I had made two days before over the phone for 20 minutes. I then hand her our paperwork and she said our dogs vaccinations were not up to date. I explained that I had double checked with the worker on the phone a few days before and they verified everything was fine. We were told to go to a animal hospital that did not open until 8 am and get the shot that was needed. The whole time this front desk worker was being extremely rude and impatient. I understand that there might have been some confusion but we were treated so badly we took our dog and were forced to both be late for work. We are beyond disappointed in Camp Bow Wow of Baton Rouge and will never return here. We are also spreading word to all of our friends in Baton Rouge how unprofessional this place is. More...

I cannot say enough good things about Camp Bow Wow of Baton Rouge! I recently boarded my dog and during his stay he started not feeling well. The manager Memorie not only noticed his lack of appetite but also had the team fix him some pumpkin and rice to soothe his stomach and ultimately offered to take him to the vet where she stayed with him (and loved on him!) as they ran tests to identify the issue. I always knew about Camp Bow Wow prior to having a dog.

When I first got my dog I never considered bringing her here until I realized that she has some destructive behavior and she's a very active breed! After considering this doggo daycare I went ahead and scheduled an interview for my little ball of energy. Sasha, my dog is a puppy who like most puppies needs to be worn out!

After pooping in the car three times plus throwing up we arrived to Camp Bow Wow and we were welcomed with open arms. The staff is incredibly amazing and understood that my dog is timid.

Sasha did not want to go into the back for her interview so the staff knew exactly what to do to coax her into following them. From there I had to leave her be for four hours so I went back to work.

The best thing about Camp Bow Wow is that they have live webcams, so you can see what your best companion is doing. This was a relief because I was really worried with how Sasha would react, at first she stood back and watched the other dogs and slowly she became more and more social and active!

By the time I got off from work and headed over to Camp Bow Wow to pick my baby up she was pooped! I got a cute little folder letting me know that my furbaby passed her interview and that she's welcomed back anytime. I received some coupons that took advantage of and scheduled her next visit plus TRAINING. I haven't gotten to her training yet, but I'm ready for her to get trained so we can get some of her bad habits handled!

All in all I am so very satisfied with Camp Bow Wow and I will be regular. It's incredibly clean, the staff is friendly, and you'll have a happy and tired dog! What's not to love? More...

I left my Shi Tzu for 5 days at Camp Bow Wow in Baton Rouge while on vacation, When he went on his interview he passed with flying colors and I told them that I would be going out of town 3 days from his interview so she gave me an application to fill out with information as to where he goes to the vet, two names of family members that would NOT be out of town while I'm away.
On the last day of my vacation I get a call from a guy in the morning saying my dog was not feeling well and was very weak and wouldn't eat or drink. I asked him to remove him from the other dogs and watch carefully for a little while and if not better to call me back. I told him I will be home by noon the next day. I got another call at the time they were closing that same day saying he was no better. I began to cry, and I said, did somebody kick him or hurt him? She said they were speaking to the staff and trying to see what all happened before he got sick. I then said HE NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION, do you have a vet on staff? She said no, but I am going to put him in Suite 3 so that you can watch him on camera from your phone throughout the night, well that was probably THE WORST THING THEY COULD HAVE DONE! I watched my dog from about 8:00 pm until midnight, I watched him DIE, it was HORRIBLE. My dog was only 7 yrs old and was very healthy, there was NO REASON for his DEATH. I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT NIGHT! When my husband talked to the Director, he admitted that they had dropped the ball, it was their fault that he should have be taken to a doctor, even if we would have said no. He was very apologetic, and said he would get down to the bottom of it and call my husband back. He called back to say they fired the person who was told to get medical attention for him. I'm sorry, that person can go and get another job, but I can't get my dog back! He was my best friend. Today makes a week that he passed away and I can truly say I have cried EVERYDAY since.
