What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to taking a great photograph is having a good understanding of lighting. Without a good understanding of light, and how a camera captures light, one can only take, at max, good photos. Great photos are ones that utilize, paint, and capture light in beautiful and creative ways.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What kind of photos would you like to take? What emotions/moods are you trying to express through these photos? What are you going to use these photos for? May I use these photos for my portfolio? What is your budget?
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is that it allows me to make others happy! Cliché, I know, but it is true! The thing that energizes me everyday is making people happy. So whenever I send out a gallery of photos and my client is happy with his/her photos, I become happy. This also means that if my client is unsatisfied with their photos, I will redo their photos at no extra charge. I won't rest until you are happy with your photos!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was actually at a boxing gym when I met this other girl, who also happened to be a photographer. She told me about her photography business, and how she runs her ship as a professional photographer. I was instantly captured by her work ethic and the quality of her photos, so I decided to start my own business. I also began my photography business because I saw it as a pathway to make others happy. Furthermore, the concept of running a business really interests me.
